Confession: I'm no good at waiting. For Friday, for my birthday, nothing. I ask God for patience, and He graciously (and often promptly) gives me opportunities to practice it. . But let's be real: I want patience without having to work for or practice it. Counterintuitive, eh? I'm impatient to get patience. . But how much more is God patient with us! "The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance." (2 Peter 3:9) . God is the master and creator and epitome of patience. He watches me learn and re-learn dependence upon Him ... and is still patient. (And I need to re-learn a lot of things, because obvz I didn't learn it well enough the first time 😂.) But He is truly the Master I need to learn from. Yoda's got nothing on Him. .
