Day 3 - Allegiance

(Today’s prompt is a what-if of tfp wavewave’s first meeting each other, mostly bc I’m only on season 2 rn)

In the evening of Kaon, the shift towards nighttime comes to life slowly.

Most are on their way home or busy taking care of business. Others are mulling around in bars, maybe even planning to constantly bar-hop for the rest of the night. Some loiter around corners and alleyways, while congregations of pity parties take place elsewhere.

And in the bellows beneath the gladiatorial arena, which were supposedly abandoned because it served as nothing but storage space, another congregation is gathering in session.

Huddled around a large crate in the center which was being used as a table were various mechs, most having sharp angular features and some were actually quite colorful.

A few familiar mechs in particular could be seen in the back, like Knockout and Breakdown who were chatting as if in their own world.

Megatronous was waxing poetry about his growing Decepticon movement and their next course of action as revolutionaries. Orion Pax could be seen flanking his right and recording what was said in a datapad. Meanwhile Soundwave was on the other side listening contentedly, albeit a little more unsettling despite doing nothing but just standing there.

As Megatronous goes on and on about his plans and trivial announcements he then gets to an awaited introduction,"On our next matter, there’s an ally of mine that I am hereby swearing in to our ranks.”

That got a few heads to turn and even those who were spacing out perked up with attention.

“Shockwave,” He calls out and lo and behold, there walks in an imposing deep purple mech,”is to be your newest lieutenant and my third-in-command. Now then, I’d like to hear your ideas for us.”

Shockwave surveys the room quickly and promptly details his scientific expertise in a donning tone. And just like that, many went back to spacing out or plotting their next scheme.

All while this was going on, Soundwave was analyzing the newcomer quite closely.

For any case, and let's be honest it's frankly inevitable, nothing gets past Soundwave without him knowing.

Shockwave's induction is no surprise to him. In fact, it was Soundwave who had first introduced and recommended him for their cause to Megatronous.

It all started when the two first met each other. After a full day of battles in the arena, Soundwave was lingering near the outskirts of the Pits and then suddenly approached by Shockwave. He was straightforward and concise as always, a trait that was greatly appreciated by Soundwave, at least when considering having to deal with Starscream trying to call him all the time for idiotic reasons. Both acknowledged each other's skills, as well as what they needed and what they could offer to the other. The entire interaction was certainly a needed relief and utterly logical.

This of course led to further meet-ups and follow up discussions.

During such private gatherings, the two learned about one another and became better familiar with how to work together. Everything just made sense, there was no need for overly compensated instructions and they could choose to do things by themselves, but it was actually pleasant to share their ideas and observations.

For once, it didn't feel like an unnecessary struggle to cooperate with someone. Well...as long as that someone was Soundwave or Shockwave.

And this was only just the beginning. With Shockwave now officially part of the Decepticons, they shall surely grow even more superior.

Wind Waker is my favorite game and I've always wanted to do a complete set of the Sages windows from it. I adore diamond painting and so this ended up being the perfect way to do so!

Gen 1: 185 - Amelia is an Astronaut

After many years of a Military career. All the sweat and tears that she shed for her job finally paid off today. She is now an astronaut. Completing her lifetime aspiration.

So we got two highlights (Kyle + 1 line) but so many baffling things: how they landed on Michael of all people despite knowing Alex's reaction, Isobel's very anticlimactic empath "insights," how we never saw Michael greet Alex when he returned to town, & that "you always saw the violence in me" and "dream girl" lines. Jesse Manes' son love a man he always saw as violent? When did he say that? Dream girl who? She oughtta be dead to him. That's the human reaction.

Kyle Valenti was the shining star of 3x03, hands down. He laid it out for everyone on the show and even got a cute little flirt moment with Isobel at the end. My ultimate favorite scene of the episode was his scene with Liz and him giving her the real facts that she was in the wrong for taking Max's DNA and then conducting science experiments behind everyone's back and even going so far as locking everyone out of the lab from seeing what she was doing. It's moments like that scene that remind me that it's not that RNM has bad writers, they just choose to write f*cked up homophobic narratives and bad lines on their own accord 😒.

I think the aliens guessing the victim was Michael literally just came down to, "who's poor, non-religious and who would Isobel be crying over"? sort of thing. And let's be real nonnie, at this point, the main 8 are just ignoring Malex has ever existed basically. Other than Maria's underhanded rude comment, "when's the wedding?" in 3x01, Malex hasn't been talked about by the main group in like... over 13 episodes? At least? And I'm pretty sure the scene we got in 3x03 WAS Michael greeting Alex back into town lol. That was it! Hope it met everyone's expectations of waiting over a year for. Just more non-communicative angst on top of a already giant, growing pile. Thanks RNM. Honestly, it wasn't that bad but after the whole "my dream girl, Maria Deluca?" sh*t I was just, not in the mood for positivity of Malex making eye contact again. Plus, once again, Malex is separated away from the group who still doesn't acknowledge them... great.

Yeah, again, another interesting choice by the writer's on having Michael tell Alex, "you've always seen the violence in me". UM receipts?? Because the only person calling Michael violent is once again MARIA. She is literally the ONLY person that talk's so much sh*t about Michael (called him violent on MULTIPLE occasions) and yet Michael never get's mad at her and instead put's it on Alex??? F*ck no to this gaslighting bullsh*t, RNM you have got to stop.

Oh and, another episode of Alex's disability being erased. At this point they should just say his leg grew back from alien magic because I don't think the audience would be able to tell the difference anyway.
