After talking online that first time...

In my mind I could see you, and I could definitely feel you seeing me, which surprised and delighted. I remember when I first found your blog and thinking you were so cool and wise and handsome that you'd never notice me - haha. Fascinating the chemistry that can develop, even mediated by distance and technology. That you could feel my warmth, translated and pixelated by skype - it says a lot, no? I can say I love you and be genuine, though I have no scent of you and barely conversed. The practicalities hardly matter in the sheer happiness I feel in knowing you exist, and that you recognise me. What it is you recognise, well, that will unfold. A delicious mystery!

Today the sun is shining, soon to set for you. I like the hours we share the same light. It makes the world seem smaller, and eases my heart.
