#619 aftermath

so apparently a bunch of shit happened last night??? idk i was playing fire emblem all night but it was something about 619 731 being all exclusive and people were getting really frustrated and hate was being sent and generally everyone was having a shitty time which was exactly the opposite of what it was supposed to be ive looked through the tags and im not an expert but what i found was that it was just a bunch of people blogging hetalia memes and trying to start up a thing like couchtalia and just have fun like in the past? but since the "invite" only went out to the so called popular blogs everyone thought it was some big exclusive event for the elite of the fandom and then everyone got mad about it and now everyone is just really upset personally i think that it just shouldve been explained better??? like okay you can totally reblog your memes and i get it that the invite went out to the popular kids because op was probably really close to them and stuff and thats just what happens. its a meme no need to get all upset you know?? but i think what was handled badly was the keeping it a secret part. yes, everyone was allowed to take part and no one was technically excluded, but at the same time no one actually knew what they were being excluded from which kind of did exclude them. if i asked a bunch of people what it was and never got a straight answer i would be kinda upset too. people who werent in on it also couldve handled that better, since sending hate is stupid and really mean and it wont really accomplish anything. overall i think everyone should just calm down. it was a meme and just people trying to have fun. it mightve gone better if people explained what it was imo but the people who got really upset about it shouldnt have made the whole thing worse by sending hate. just my two cents on the matter is all

So much hate

Guys, I didn't even know about this 619-731 thing until it was over. And it didn't NEED to be over. But sadly, hate wormed its way into a place where people were just trying to have fun. I woke up this morning to my dash full of rants about how someone thought the hetalia fandom is so broken or how the bloggers were just trying to have a good time. Either way, I don't like to see hate on my dash. It just makes me think about the world and how truly miserable this planet we live on has become. I was scrolling through the 619-731 tag and I had to get through 4 pages of hate (probably more) to get to the memes. I laugh my ass off at them. I love these people who put their creativity into this type of stuff and just put a burst of colour into the dull, dull world. Thank you for everyone who made the memes and had fun, despite the hate. I'm sorry for the hate you might have received and truly, I wish we could avoid it. But its the unavoidable truth. There is always going to be that person who won't like you. In any situation. And you try to ignore it but its always there, like an itch you can't reach. And then you're finally so frustrated you have to find some way to get rid of that itch, right? Well hate is a permanent itch, always there, always hurting, always in bold letters in your mind. I really hope this message gets across to all types of fandoms and just everyone who would take the time to read this. This is not directed just to hetalia but its what made me write it. If you've read this whole thing, thank you for staying. We can overcome this guys. We can. And we will. Maybe not today. Probably not tomorrow. But someday. And I promise, it'll be wonderful.
