Danger, danger!!
•———————————•
The trouble I am facing these days is with GASTROPARESIS
{which makes your stomach digest food at a slower rate.}
•
It complicates the bolus timing even more than a pizza would which is extremely frustrating.
•———————————•
A lot of lows are involved with blousing too soon for food I am eating with spikes to follow for correcting for those lows.
•
Everything is a learning curve and I am beginning to have a better handle on the new blousing process now
•
Any advice for me, questions or just other diabetics with gastroparesis who want to reach out are welcome [and needed]
•
Talk to you soon ☺️
My last two sets have malfunctioned/gotten inflamed and I’m feeling real crappy rn bc my bg has been sittin at 300 ish for like 2 days and I’m pissed. It’s finally back down now and everything is working but it just stinks that something so tiny not working correctly can fuck up a whole day.
Side note: Does anyone that uses a 670g + guardian CGM have recommendations for 3rd party tape to keep your CGM on better?
Choosing to enter "what's that on your arm?" season in peak borger fashion
Finally on the 670g. I’m not ready for auto mode yet. I want to get used to it. And I’m just trying wearing it with the cgm for a week or so till I see my Endo again and they can give me the go ahead for the auto mode. Bought a bunch of tapes and things that people have recommended to see what I like. I’m excited to see how they all work and I’m really excited to get my a1c down. My last was 9.9 and honestly the only time it’s ever been under 7 was when I was pregnant. (My DR thinks it’s the testosterone of the boys I was carrying balancing out my PCOS) but still. I’m trying really hard to get this under control. I’m also trying to figure out how to not let this control my entire life.
Im unboxing my insulin pump! Its the 670g and also my first time making a video 🙈🌸
Discrepancies
Dex said 208 670g said 147 I was looking at the 670g and feeling happy that I didn't spike from breakfast. I wasn't feeling great but I just thought I was tired. Got on my phone and saw the number for Dex. This is a 61-point difference. I had to check my BG because who was I supposed to believe? BG was 218. Sigh. Breakfast is hard because I don't have time to prebolus. Anyways, this just happened and I thought I'd share.
Just got home from a wonderful and relaxing mountain stroll 🗻
(The last one was clouded over and a bit foggy... )
