one of the mistakes one can make while analyzing seven's character in his route is take these words of his literally, as they are
he is an unreliable narrator ! saeran also proves this when he talks about seven being a positive and optimistic person since he was a child aka back when he was saeyoung . this guy's perception of himself is deeply warped so im curious as to why folks believe his rants about himself like he hasn't had a major identity crisis since middle school
again, luciel is a very unreliable narrator. his mind is deeply poisoned by self-hatred and extreme stress, he is unable to analyze himself correctly .
while it is true that 707 was used as a mask, it is still him. if we suggest that it is all a lie(like he said here) we'd have to erase 80% of his personality in the game and it is impossible that seven was literally just straight up lying for all that time because he is genuine in almost all those moments . he's genuine when he cares about mc and gives her a cyber safety advice RANT on the very first call while pranking her, spams the RFA chat whenever bored or burnt out, messes with yoosung or someone else to relieve stress, expresses his love for kitties and making gadgets, gets literal ZOOMIES and loves to use all types of emojis while texting, talks about his interests in memes and fictional media, crossdresses and cosplays for his own enjoyment and, most importantly, points out how nice it feels for mc to understand his humor and silliness when no one else engages in it and makes fun of him instead. you are meant to play along with his quirky, odd side that is 707 or else you get a bad story ending for not making him feel understood. he NEEDS you to get him.
back to the visual novel sequence, what seven REALLY means in this moment is that 707 is not the only part if him. though he rejects it completely because he knows its an aspect of his personality that mc likes(and hes trying to push her away, remember?). when he wishes for mc to accept all of him, he means that he wants her to accept his hurt, scarred side as well. the reason why he says "cold" and "icy" is not because he really is that, it's because he literally needs her to see him as that to no longer try to pursue him
he says "temporary" because while 707 is still him, it wasn't ALWAYS him
