Some of Dr. Munson's Babies! All of these boots were built on the extremely comfortable Munson last. From left to right 8012 Munson Ranger, 8840 Munson Police Boot, and the 8011 Munson Ranger. Why Munson? Dr. Munson was part of the Medical Department of the U.S. Army, where he conducted thorough research of soldiers' feet. Four years and 2,000 measured feet later he designed a shoe last that was the perfect fit to cover long distances by foot. This last was not only used for the armed forces, but also for work boots. Unfortunately, only the 8012 in the Burgundy Settler was available back in 2014 in Europe. www.redwingberlin.com
