heyyy i have been trying to look for any aspect in my synastry with my dad because he always unintentionally says shit that hurts me, but his planets make trines to my moon and mercury. so i don’t know what it is. could it be the 8th house overlays??

Heyyy I'm sorry you're going through that with your father. I know this all too well...

Your dad may see parts of you that you don't want exposed; he may project his feelings onto unintentionally. With the trines it's really easy for him to say things without regard to how you feel; he thinks nothing of it. His presence alone probably could make you uncomfortable even with easy aspects.

With this it can feel more than a parent-child relationship (not a weird way) but the relationship between you two can be too overwhelming. Too private. Can feel like a mind fuck sometimes. Power dynamics can play role in this too.

some random astrology things ive noticed recently. (synastry & compatibility)

Sagittarius & aquarius, pisces & libra, leo & capricorn , cancer & taurus , gemini & aries , scorpio & virgo. Usually get along the best, you dont notice right away but have lots of things in common.

Moon in aquarius are actually very chill and very open minded. They can become friends with anyone really but only allow few people get too close. They rarely show any negative emotion so you may think that they just dont ever feel bad. You'd mostly find them with a blank facial expression, as if they were not there, which makes them really hard to read at times. They do have an ego tho, even more than leo moons, because they know how to deal with their emotions and are great at separating personal life from everything else.

Moon in gemini have a very child like energy just like sagittarius and aries, but they're a lot more introverted than one would think. Really important to talk about is how witty and smart these people are, literally mind blowing. They catch on things fast. They enjoy learning and once they know you're listening, they can talk for hours. Also they are true empaths just as much as pisces moons, if they care about you, they'll be careful with their words or just stay quiet to not make you feel bad.

Is not that venus in aries falls in love quickly, is more that they mistake the feeling of attraction with love. So they can say that they love you within the first 2 days you were meeting and it wouldnt be a lie per say because thats how they feel it, but then that feeling goes away on the 3rd day and they're gone. They do like challenges but also would not be with someone that is not interested in them because they need the constant validation, and if it's rejection after rejection, they stop chasing.

Now venus in libra does fall in love quickly because they tend to idealize a lot. So they fall in love with ideas instead of actions. Have such high unsaid expectations that are almost impossible for anyone to reach. And its always them thinking they'll never find another person that makes them feel loved after every break up and then they heal and fall in love again and break up and so on... also, they tend to stay in toxic relationships and they rarely break up relationships at all.

When someone's mars fall in your 2nd house, they'll like your voice or something related to how you pronounce certain words or somthing but they'll notice it and usually let u know for sure,,,,

Having venus-mars synastry with someone such as conjunction & trines (especially fire signs) will make you compliment each other a lot and it wont feel weird at all, it flows naturally, almost like it's part of the convo.

Taurus suns are really easy to spot because you'd find them having the same routine every day, they rarely try different things bc they just get used to it and are honestly very chill about everything too. They dont be talking too much or too loud but when they do, you know it's the truth, or at least their truth. They're also very blunt in how they communicate and does not take anyone's sht. If they dont like you, they'll let you know. Now if they do like you, they be all giggly and joking around. As long as u dont mess with their food or eating schedule, you should be good. Also, do not joke around too much cuz they may get offended or annoyed. If they have a bad day then everyone must have a bad day too lol jk they do have a strong aura to them and its just very easy to read them even tho they dont express too much.

Having 8th house synastry overlays (moon, venus, mars in your 8th house) are usually felt more by the house person. A little too much more id say. Unless u have synastry within your personal planets as well then the planet person would get to feel it too, but when it comes to that always pay attention to degrees, the closest the better. But yea it does feel kinda like obsession and its either your lovers or enemies, you too scared of opening up yet you feel like the other person can already read you like a book. And any interactions that you had with this person, you'll remember vividly. Jealousy and alot of possessiveness too. Honestly everything is felt way too much.

Lilith in the 3H overlay

the lilith person empowers the house person to express themselves freely, even if they have low self-esteem. the lilith person pushes the house person to be confident about their opinions and ideas... and the house person is gonna be inspired by them! there's gonna be a lot of intellectual talks here as well.

if it's bad aspected, then the lilith person is gonna be rebellious and confront the house person's opinions and ideas.

Lilith in the 8H overlay

here the lilith person empowers the house person to understand their need for intimacy and deep personal connections. they will teach them that it's okay to feel vulnerable and desire those personal connections. this overlay creates a very passionate and deep bond between both parties. when the two individuals feel comfortable with each other, the house person is likely to become too demanding of the lilith person.

if it's bad aspected, then the lilith person is likely to make fun of the 8th house person and make them feel vulnerable in some way. the house person will feel uncomfortable and triggered by them.

I know a lot of people talk about the “ugliness” of 8th house synastry so I’m here to offer some of the lighter things I’ve noticed regarding this. I know several people who are in healthy, strong 8th house synastry relationships. My grandparents were together 50+ years, my grandfather’s Sun/Moon/Venus/Mercury were all in my grandmother’s 8th house.

- Can be profoundly deep and a soul-binding type of love.

- Many couples I know who have been together 20+ years have someone’s Sun and Mercury in the other’s 8th.

- That “I would die for you and kill for you.” type of love.

- Couples with this may sometimes have separation anxiety from each other.

- I’ve noticed there can be a telepathic/unspoken communication between the two.

- The sex can feel like a merging of two souls and like they’re bound together.

- Sometimes it feels like you know each other from somewhere.

- If there is a significant age gap, the older partner will want to deeply nurture the younger one. They might help them heal any deep emotional wounds.

- If both partners have Pluto influences in the natal, this relationship will likely lead to marriage quickly.

- Love exploring the mysterious, odd, and dark parts of life together.

- These relationships, with mature partners, can lead to both individuals becoming the best versions of themselves.

- I’ve found this can cause one of the partners dying of a broken heart if the other passes away. Four couples I know that died hours apart had a lot of 8th House Overlays.

- Couples living together might have dark home interiors. Dark couches, wood or other furniture combined with soft light.

- Unconditional love and understanding for each other. This can feel like a “you’re my lover but my best friend” relationship.

- In my opinion, Morticia and Gomez Addams are the perfect example of what a healthy 8th House relationship looks like between two mature, accepting adults. Their relationship mirrors nearly exact to my grandparents who were married for 50+ years.

Oh they do! The Ascendant plays a huge huge role in how we start off with others, after all it's (part of) our first impression and just generally how we interact with our environment and how others perceive/treat us!

Ascendant in the 8th house overlay in Synastry:

❤️ Honestly 7th house & 8th house overlays in synastry should not be taken lightly in my opinion. For better or for worse. It could make for a strong bond, but it also has a lot of potential to become a very unhealthy relationship. If there’s only 7th house overlay then the relationship could be very needy and dependent. If there’s only 8th house overlay there could be constant lingering magnetism and tensions of all kinds for better or for worse. So when you have the best of both worlds in a synastry….. well..... You’d have to look at the rest of the synastry and the composite of course but I’d say to try to handle this energy with care

❤️ When someone’s planet is aspecting your mars in a tense aspect that person may know exactly how to push your buttons and may even do it intentionally (synastry can go either way too)

❤️ I’ve noticed that mars in synastry can have something to do with how you got to know that person or were you met them

❤️ The people you had a deep crush on likely had their moon land in your 4th house. If not a crush you could have a tender spot for that person.

❤️ When someone’s sun lands on the same house your natal sun is this can create a “you are like me” type of vibe once you get to know that person, even if the suns aren't making a conjunction.

❤️ Virgo rising in the composite could mean that the couple met as coworkers

❤️ Libra rising in the composite:

very common in couples where people always asume they are dating even when they’re not or people always say they’d look cute together. This is the type of couple that you see is always together

This rising also means that the couple could have met through somebody else or they met by being formally introduced by another party. They could get together because they have a common friend or something and their relationship is a polite formality.

Also, Libra rising in the composite is said to be very favorable for romantic couples (duh) and I don’t disagree, but this can be a lot of times a very superficial placement (unless the rest of the chart says otherwise). This rising either makes two people inseparable or a lot of times the people stay as mere acquaintances or have a, again, a “polite” relationship or a casual friendship, etc.

Lastly, I’ve noticed that whatever type of relationship the two people might have, with this rising in the composite, ending the relationship comes easy, without any hard feelings or drama  

❤️ Aquarius rising in the composite could mean that the couple met online, in some sort of community like a fandom and/or they bonded over a very specific common interest. Also very common in people that share the same group of friends

❤️ Having someone’s mars landing on your 8th house could mean that you low-key hate or resent that person for no particular reason. Actually, there IS a reason but it’s usually something the person doesn’t want to admit, since the 8th house represents what we deliberately keep under lock & key.

❤️ On the other hand, if you have someone’s personal planets falling in your 4th or your 12th house, that person could give you millions of reasons to hate them but you always forgive them. In the case of the 4th house, this could be bc you have a soft spot for them, but in the case of the 12th house it could mean you idolize them or there could be some naiveness bc you see the “best” in them.

❤️ With Pisces rising in the composite I’ve noticed there’s like this constant dynamic of distance or separation and then being reunited. The couple may feel like their connection is so deep and genuine that it transcends distance and time.

❤️ I don’t exactly know why this is but I’ve noticed a lot of married couples that have their rising in neighboring signs

❤️ I’ve noticed that Saturn in the 7th in the natal chart experience rejection from lovers, like partners suddenly freezing them out, blocking or ghosting them. They could also be the ones doing this as well. These natives either find it hard to find a partner and stay single for a very long time or they’re the type to desperately hold on to someone for YEARS out of the belief that that’s all they have or all they’ve known. These natives could really be prone to just settling for less. Another scenario is that people with this placement are attracted to lovers that restrict them in some way, like partners that constantly tell them what they should or shouldn’t do and stuff like that

❤️ Scorpio rising in the composite could mean that the couple spilled their guts to each other the second they met lol. Could have a dynamic where you are each other’s therapists.

❤️ The house where Venus is in the composite indicates how and what area of life you guys usually get together (Check: Venus in the composite houses)

❤️ Personal planets in tight conjunction to the nodes in synastry could mean that you guys dream about each other

❤️ Air or Leo rising in the composite is common in couples that have a lot of inside jokes

🟡 Chiron can be crucial in relationships, if it's in a close orbit. If you have Chiron aspecting someone's personal planet (Sun, Moon, Venus, Mars) or Ascendant it will be quite apparent. For example: if it’s Chirom square Mars, they might constantly remind you of your childhood hurts with certain actions, behaviours. It can become quite triggering.

🟡 Chiron can hurt in the long run. People enter or pursue a Chiron relationship when there is a sign from the other person that they can somehow heal the other person. Or help them heal. Or where there is “fixing” dynamic. Though, here the saying “hurt people hurt other people” rings true as well.

🟡 For example: Chiron conjunct Mars can indicate Mars person has trouble showing confidence, asserting themselves.

🟡 Venus square Chiron can show that the Chiron is the “last option” for love for the Venus person.

🟡 Venus doesn't just relate to what we attract and love, but also to money. Venus aspect Pluto in a natal chart can show individual who is secretive or very private in how, when they spend their money and on what. It can also point that you obsess over your money, even material items, possessions. And that you are being very strict about the fact that this money is yours or that piece of clothing belongs to YOU.

🟡 Meanwhile Venus aspect Jupiter could overspend money (positive aspects) or dislike spending money on others or giving it out (negative aspects).

🟡 In synastry if you both have Sun in each other’s 8th house, it can point to issues with father. You both might have estranged or bad relationship with your own father. It mighz be that the father never validate you or praised you enough. Or even hug you on days other than special occasions.

It IS kinda scary huh especially with 8th house overlay 💕💕Mostly bc there’s a potential of a deeper bond, connection and intimacy -- permanence is something we all look for, but when we see it along the horizon (commitment) and isn’t sure of whether or not we should pursue it 💕It can sometimes be a ‘what? but whats going on?’ situation (can lead to: testing, tryna find a way out, looking at it from different angles, a way to pace it properly instead of falling head first into it, trying to figure it out) 💕

It’s finding that balance between casual-ness and potential for intimacy, and also working out how the bond plays itself out-- how does it unroll as a story/narrative? how can we control it? what can’t we control -- there’s that sense that we can’t always control things (our attraction/ourselves/others) so how do u figure out how’re things supposed to organically play out for u as well? 💕 What’s the give/take between that?
