We're all in agreement that Eddie is placating Buck here, yes? He can see right through him but because he knows Buck was hiding from him the first time he went round with pizza, he recognises that trying to push Buck is only going to push him away.

Just like with Chris, Eddie wants Buck to be the one to open the door for him. I'm convinced that Eddie knows full well that Buck isn't fine at all, but that he's trying to prevent him from drifting further away than he already is, which is why he hasn't confronted him directly about the situation yet. Eddie cares so much about Buck, and i believe that he'll prove it to him, once again, very soon.
