was plagued by visions in the shower of buck trying to rouse an unconscious eddie right after the crash. and at first he’s panicked because eddie’s not waking up and his pulse is really weak and he’s begging him to open his eyes, and he can reach him but he can’t check for injuries or get him out, and his phone is nowhere to be found. and then he hears footsteps stalking towards them and he just knows in his gut that it’s the killer, and also the guy literally drove them off the road, and he can’t protect eddie if he can’t get him out of the car, and he can’t get them out of the car if eddie won’t wake up. and so he’s begging and crying and struggling to move him while the footsteps get closer. and then there’s a hand on his ankle and the killer starts to pull buck out, and he screams at him to just leave eddie alone, just call someone to help him and he’ll do anything he wants, and the killer is like, “he’s already dead.” and that’s the last thing buck hears before he’s knocked unconscious himself. and his first thought when he wakes up in the basement is that eddie is dead and it’s his fault
