INTRO

Brought to you by the 911 Rarepair Haven* discord server, this is an event to celebrate the rarepair ships in the 911 universe during this hiatus. 

The event is aimed at spreading positivity within the fandom and uplifting the more overlooked characters and dynamics in both the og 911 and Lone Star. As most canon ships are also deeply underappreciated, we aim to bring some more love to our overlooked canon pairings as well. 

We hope to motivate more people in the fandom to write fics, make art, etc for ships other than the fandom's popular Big Three through a fun, low-pressure, and interactive event. 

(while the event is open to all, the server is strictly 18+)

HOW TO PARTICIPATE

Mods will provide 4x4 Bingo Cards with two sets of prompts – General & NSFW. 

Alternate prompts will also be provided for both categories.

Interested participants can use the default Cards or request a randomised version. 

Posting will start from July 1 and end the day of the S9 premier. People can join at any point during the event, but the deadline for requesting randomised cards is July 7. 

Participants do not need to post all prompts for the same ship. Variety is deeply appreciated!

Any medium of fanwork is allowed, but posting will be limited to Tumblr and AO3. All AO3 works will be added to the Collection for the event. All fanworks posted on Tumblr must use the tag #911rarepairsummerbingo in the first five tags for us to be able to find it. Pls also @ us in your posts to make sure we don't miss it!

Upon finishing a prompt, participants can request a badge for the prompt to post with their fanworks.

Participants can achieve a Bingo by fulfilling one line of prompts, or choose to clear all 16 boxes for a Blackout. If a prompt does not agree with you, you can choose a prompt from the list of Alternative Prompts to replace it. 

While the event will officially end the day of the S9 premier, fanworks will be reblogged/added to the collection for an extra week as a grace period. 

Participants can join the rarepair server if they wish to be more involved, but it is not a requirement. 

RULES

All ships excluding The Big Three 911 ships (Bucktommy, Tarlos & Buddie) are allowed. This includes canon ships, poly ships and ships involving OCs/characters from outside of the 911 universe (as long as at least one character is from a 911 show).

Caveat, underage ships or incest will not be accepted as an entry. 

No character bashing will be allowed.

All triggers/MCD/Dead Dove etc must be properly tagged. 

Participants can request only 1 of each card. 

Cross-posting fanworks to other events is fine as long as the event in question also allows it.

“I wish I had it on camera!”

“Oh, please.” Eddie rolls his eyes, theatrical as ever. “You are so dramatic.”

“Listen to him!” Brian exclaims, mouth agape.

“I’m listening,” Tommy cuts in with a chuckle, the room humming with warmth, voices stacking like kindling on a fire. “But I don’t know what you expected, Brian.”

“I expected,” Brian huffs, throwing a not-so-subtle pout across the table at Eddie, “to play fair.”

“That is rich,” Buck fires back, leaning in like he might crawl across the board, cheeks flushed with frustration. “You’re the one that doubled back across Asia.”

Brian’s mouth falls open. “That wasn’t cheating. That was strategy.”

Eddie groans, shoving away from the game of Risk, dragging both hands through his hair. Brian’s gaze catches on him – he always does – and his thoughts stutter. Eddie’s shirt rides just a little higher with the motion, shoulders flexing, back tight with tension. Brian bites the inside of his cheek, holding back a flirty comment that would only betray him.

He cannot be distracted. Not now. Not when Buck and Eddie are a single continent away from total world domination.

“Alright,” Eddie finally says, exhaling hard. He leans in toward Buck, whispering something in his ear that earns a low laugh. Then a fist bump.

Eddie straightens, smoothing the hem of his shirt and brushing out a wrinkle or two. It’s adorable, reminding Brian of their first date – the way Eddie had pulled out his chair for him before settling in his own, brushing out his rumpled henley in much the same way.

“We’re ready,” he announces, eyes finding Brian’s across the table. His smirk is infuriating. So is the wink that follows, paired with a gentle nudge under the table that makes Brian want to lean in for a kiss.

“Hey,” Tommy interrupts with mock sternness. “Back off my Sergeant.”

Eddie raises his hands in surrender, the grin still curling on his lips. Buck just laughs, a bright, belly-deep sound that lightens the air in the room.

Tommy, of course, stays composed. He’s been through war zones and wildfires. If anyone can temper a situation, it’s him. But Brian? Brian caved the first time Eddie smiled like that. He doesn’t have armor the way Tommy does. He left the church for Eddie – no match for the ways of his wicked sin.

Still, he tries. He scoots back in his chair, arms crossing over his chest like it’ll somehow protect him from his affection.

“‘Atta boy,” Tommy says, nudging him with a proud little smirk.

“Tommy,” Buck whines, stretching the word out with big, dramatic eyes. “Will you get me another beer?”

“Sure, baby,” Tommy replies instantly, pushing up to stand – then stopping mid-step to squint suspiciously between Buck and Eddie. “Wait. Is this a thing? A ploy?”

Buck rolls his eyes playfully and laughs again, broad and warm, and Brian can see the string connected from Buck’s heart to Tommy’s clear as day. “What, me? Never.”

Brian would stop it, pull Tommy back from the edge like he did for him moments ago, but he’s a sucker for romance. Tommy turns to fetch the drinks, and Brian takes his moment. He leans in for a gentle kiss with Eddie. He smiles into the kiss and savors the way Eddie tastes like spearmint and coffee, the combination heady on his tongue.

The first time their lips connected, Eddie tasted the same, always hinging on six hours of sleep, gum tossed between his teeth whenever he’d finished a bitter cup. Brian closes his eyes, letting the familiar warmth spread across his tongue before leaning back, settling in place as Tommy returns with a beer for his beau and another for himself.

Another thirty minutes pass, armies building and depleting; strongholds tucked into parts of the world Buck and Eddie can’t seem to tackle. Fortresses fall. Somehow, Tommy and Brian rally from the brink, every roll a miracle.

“Should we make this more interesting?” Eddie suggests casually between turns. “Maybe... raise the stakes?”

Tommy cocks a brow. Buck does the same.

“Something you have in mind, dear?” Brian asks, leaning back in his chair. Now that they’ve clawed closer to a chance at victory, his competitive streak is growing, building heat every time Tommy rolls a six that crushes Buck’s two.

“We’re all creative thinkers,” Eddie responds, eyes sparkling.

Buck waves a hand. “Please. I already get what I want in bed.”

“There was that one –” Tommy begins.

“Oh yeah,” Buck interrupts with a smirk sharp enough to draw blood, eyes locking on Tommy in a way that makes Brian want to cover his own.

“Okay,” Brian says, offering a hand. “You’re on.”

Tommy links his pinky with Buck’s in a promise. Eddie and Brian’s hands connect on a handshake, gentle but firm.

The night continues with accusations of loaded dice, stepping outside for air, another six pack, and a cigarette – Tommy’s been on the wagon, really, he has – before it all comes down to Australia.

When Brian’s eyes meet Eddie’s, the sun is setting behind him, blazing orange carrying into the room and basking the wood in a haze not unlike the old west.

It’s a standoff, a duel, hands shaking with dice, a prayer and a wish tossed with them for the win. When they land on the board, they spin, finally settling on double sixes. Cheers explode around the table. Fists pump. Arms fly. Victory speeches are delivered with mock tears and ridiculous bows. The silence that follows is thick with joy for the winners, and exaggerated heartbreak for the fallen.

When Buck and Tommy finally pull away in their truck, the rumble fades down the block. Brian moves behind Eddie, wrapping himself around him, nose tucked against the back of his neck as he plants a kiss there.

The door clicks shut, the soft dusk creeping in, and the breeze through the window brushes against them, soft and soaked in the quiet song of L.A.  

“So,” Eddie hums, turning and slipping his hands into the back pockets of Brian’s jeans. “What’s the plan, champ?”

“I’ve got an idea,” Brian murmurs, kissing him again. His fingers trail up Eddie’s back, finding the familiar soft hair at the nape of his neck, fingertips brushing against it. “Shall we?”

Eddie nods, letting Brian lead him toward the bedroom, fingers laced tightly together. The board game is splayed on the table like a monument to the battle. Coffee mugs are tucked into the sink. They can wait – there’s something better holding the night’s attention.

Inside the bedroom, Brian gently pushes Eddie down onto the bed with a grin and a whispered, “Wait here.”

He spins around, flitting between rooms, grabbing what he needs. Eddie just watches, his eyes soft and full of love, an easy smile hanging from his cheeks. When Brian returns, arms full, Eddie takes what he offers.

“You’re ridiculous,” Eddie says, already pulling on his favorite sleep shirt.

Brian joins him in sweats, lighting a single candle before settling in beside him, a bottle of wine and a pint of ice cream between them. He snuggles close, fingers dancing along Eddie’s abs, under the hem of his shirt, as they pick out something to watch.

Wrapped in soft light, tangled limbs, and lazy kisses, Brian knows exactly what he won tonight.

And it’s far more than just a board game.

Four Simple Rules For Not Dating Your Best Friend

I took a brief, brief kind of break not really from prompt fills from my ask box (BUT THOSE WILL GET FILLED) to do event prompt fills. This is a Sal/Tommy fic featuring bottom Tommy, so this is both for @911-rarepair-bingo and @bottomtommyweek. This is for Bottom Tommy Day One: First Time as well as First Time and Secret Relationship for Rare Pair Bingo.

It takes all of two weeks of fooling around for Tommy to press up against Sal in an equipment room and tell him in a soft rush of words: “I want you to fuck me.”

Sal squeezes the back of his neck, sending a shiver down Tommy's spine at the casual show of possessiveness, even if no one's around to see it. And then he kisses Tommy's cheekbone and lips. “Tell me when and where, sweetheart.”

They make a tentative plan for the next afternoon to meet up at Sal's place. It's tentative because Tommy might have to pull a double to cover Jim in B-shift. When he gets a text about two hours before the end of their own shift that he's finally recovered from the bug that had taken him out, Tommy finds Sal in the kitchen making eggs.

“See you later,” he says softly, and Sal smiles without looking over at him.

“See you.”

He's a headcase when he gets home, trying to get some sleep because they were up half the night with a pileup. But all he can do is toss and turn and try not to think about the fact that he's about to get fucked by his best friend/fuckbuddy/whatever.

At eleven, he gets a text from Sal.

Wanna come over now instead?

Tommy's out of bed and turning on the shower before he's even tapped out a response.
