Swim hair don’t care💁🏾‍♀️😃

Little known fact about me: I love to swim 🏊🏾‍♀️ Probably as much as, if not more than I love running 🏃🏾‍♀️ It’s something that I grew up doing and really miss because I live in the Northeast. So every time I vacation in a warm place(especially during the winter), I take full advantage by spending hours upon hours in the pool. //
This past Sunday my half marathon training plan called for a run but it was coming down to my last day of vacation in Florida & the weather was gorgeous so I opted to do a 1.5 mile swim instead (in addition to spending 4 hours in the pool). And In case you can’t tell from the smile on my face, I have zero regrets! 😁
Racking up miles in the pool over the last 2 weeks has actually made me think about returning to triathlons 🏊🏾‍♀️ 🚲 🏃🏾‍♀️ That requires a lot of training though so we’ll see.

Do you feel guilty when you deviate from your training plan? I used to but now I don’t. Especially when I’m getting good cross training in👍🏾

Two of the best nine month periods of my life. Now in retrospect even the intense non stop nausea that i experienced seems like nothing in comparison to how amazing it is to feel this child grow inside of me; and see her grow outside of me. 9 months in, 9 months out. I have loved every second of it. I have loved my daughter all my life, since the moment i was created. After i had Lotus my mom said something very powerful to me. She said "Before we planned you I already wanted you. Before you were born i already loved you. When you were one hour old i was ready to die for you." I never understood how i deserved such profound love. Now i get it. Its beyond the mind. Its in the fibers we are made out of.
