Chikage: There's actually a lot less I can do than I thought...
Itaru: Ahh, the expo was soo fun. Can't wait to open this...
Chikage: Welcome back.
Itaru: I'm home... Woah, why are your eyes closed? You meditating?
Chikage: If I were, I wouldn't have called out to you, and I'd be opening my eyes now.
Itaru: Well, fair enough... So, what's up?
Chikage: It's for my role-study.
Itaru: Role-study? Is it for the Spring Troupe's performance?
Chikage: Yeah. You see, during the day...

Izumi: Chikage-san, this is your first time playing a character who can't see, right?
Chikage: That's right.
Sakuya: I imagine it would be hard to tell the distance from someone with your eyes closed on stage. I don't know if I could even walk in a straight line...
Chikage: Well, I'll manage somehow.
Izumi: You know, just because the character is blind, you don't necessarily have to close your eyes.
Izumi: But if you don't, you have to act like you can't see...
Chikage: That's true, there is that approach.
Sakuya: That kind of acting seems more difficult, but it also seems more rewarding!
Chikage: Yeah, I guess so.
Chikage: I think we'll decide on what kind of acting we'll need to do during future rehearsals, so it seems best to build the character in a way that works for either approach.
Chikage: For now, maybe I'll try living with my eyes closed starting today.
Sakuya: Huh!? There are stairs and bumps, so it must be dangerous to suddenly close your eyes and live that way...
Chikage: I'll be fine.
Sakuya: If Chikage-san says it's fine, I guess it is, but I'm still worried...
Izumi: Yeah, I agree.
Izumi: Chikage-san, I think it's a good idea to practice living with your eyes closed for the role, but I don't want you to do anything that might be dangerous, so...
Izumi: How about limiting your role study to only when you're in a safe area or during our practice?
Chikage: I understand. If you two say so, I'll try living blind only when I'm in my room.

Itaru: Ic.
