I headcanon that Louise would want to keep the belcher name when married and that Rudy as her hubby would offer to take the name for her.
XD Honestly if it does happen, I couldn’t see it happen any other way. (…His name would almost sound like Rude Belcher as a result, but… Ehhh. Still better than Max Flush I guess. XD)
How do you think the Belcher family would react to drugs? Would they ever do drugs? They are just too content with their life to make themselves feel numb. To answer your other question. Yes my favorite is the underwater episode. After witnessing what went on in the last episode I felt it was a good idea to watch the episode last. Bojack was being a decent being while being sober. Do you think he can still be saved?
(To put stuff in context we had a bit of private conversation with @princess-unipeg on the recent season of Bojack Horseman and I asked what her fav episode was in S3. The underwater episode’s my favorite too °w°)
…Okay so…
…Would the Belchers ever do drugs.
…HMMMM. WOULD THE BELCHERS EVER INDULGE IN ADDICTIVE SUBSTANCES I REALLY WONDER
(…No further comments)
(…Also about Bojack… To be honest “salvation” is a strong word, not only for a guy like him but for the show in general… That’s probably what he hopes for, but I don’t know if it could really be that easy…)
Have you ever watched a tv show and wished you had the main character's cool room? Like Arnold's room, Star Butterfly's room or Raven Baxter's room? Bedrooms that are like your roomgoals?
Well, among the rooms you quoted in here, I gotta say, Arnold’s room is AWESOME. Being able to see the sky as you’re lying down is really something, and I love it a lot. I’d have liked to have that room, I guess. XD
Apart from that I’m not much in a what-if state of mind and I kinda like my room as it is, whatever my room happens to be, because it contains stuff I like, so it’ll always be “me”, y’know^^
…But yeah Arnold’s room is definitely awesome. So is Arnold himself though. That was a character I’ve always admired since childhood, along with all the fantastic kids he went to school with.
Do you think Teddy will often fix things for free? Also do you think Helen will ever make a return appearance? Will he ever get married again? Will we ever see his ex-wife? He will probably want to get married as soon as possible. He wants to find love again and probably has his heart set on having children. If nothing else then at least he has the Belchers as his surrogate family.
He definitely has! XD I suspect part of it is due to Larry Murphy being such an invested member of the show’s cast, but Teddy as honorary Belcher family member works pretty darn well overall.^^
I don’t know what to wish for that guy. For one thing I AM glad that has has the Belchers and the Belchers have him, because it’s so obvious from Teddy’s behavior and daily life that he’s incredibly lonely. And no wonder. But we already talked about that earlier and I did say that I wasn’t sure Teddy should jump straight into a relationship either. Even if, as Bob says, ANYTHING would be good for him at this point. Helen was really sweet and actually a very entertaining person, but god, it’s also heavily implied she killed her previous husband… And regarding his ex-wife, I wouldn’t care for seeing her much, after what unfolded. As lonely as Teddy is he probably is better off without her.
You gotta admit. The Belchers raised a good kid in Tina. She looks like a standard geek but she has the confidence of a head cheerleader/homecoming queen. Who else can get people to cheer at her riding an imaginary horse even when she still falls off. Funny how even in her imagination she falls off horses. Do you think Tina will ever have half the connection she has with Jericho for an actual horse. Also it was nice to see how much Louise and Gene really care about Tina to talk to their parents
XD I’m wondering whether Tina falling was actually inconsciously wanted or if she just fell because she tried to jump too high on her own. The former would actually be pretty interesting in what it says about her psyche, but… I’ll leave it at that.
Also, I doubt Tina could ever have the kind of connection she has with Jericho for actual horses. For one thing, actual horses don’t talk. If anything it’d be a different, probably way more boring kind of connection.
And yeah, for the record, the Belchers raised a good kid in ALL of their kids. And no wonder. They’re amazing parents, who have such faith in their children it’s not surprising said children have faith in themselves, in return.
Don't you feel like this season's has been really challenging the Belcher's budget lately? I mean they get a new couch and then it gets burned, Bob gave back thousands of dollars that could have helped his family and now they send Tina to a albeit a Poor man's horse camp at the expense of the needed French fryer. If Calvin F. Wasn't so lenient with the rent the business would have been closed by now and Bob would have lived out his nightmare of office work. He needs more wins and more money.
Well they do, they always have money problems, but it’s not like it’s particularly to this season at all, I feel. It’s been here since season 1, in instances such as :
Bob has to work two jobs to pay for Tina’s birthday party
Bob competes with Jimmy to get his business renewed and not taken over
Bob has nightmares about having to live as a salaryman if his restaurant closes because of a bad review
Bob agrees (for a while) to ruin his own Thanksgiving so he can have a few months of rent free
The Belcher family competes in a TV show to win a car after their own breaks down
Lin has to sell Bob’s newly-bought coffee machine to pay for Gene’s special baseball camp, creates drama
The Belcher family competes in a water balloon fight to get to keep their rent at the same price and not get eventually kicked out.
…And I’m just quoting part of it here. To be honest though, I was a bit scared that the show would do like The Simpsons did after a few seasons and forget that money could actually be a sensible issue that could get in the way of plot points. Of course Bob’s Burgers is about a struggling business so you’d imagine they’d pay more attention to that, but still, I really appreciate the fact that they kept the money problems grounded inside the show’s plots so far. They manage to be consistent about it while not repeating the same story all the time, which is pretty good. They also manage to constantly remind you that you can be “poor” (up to a certain point) and “happy” at the same time. That’s definitely a good lesson.^^
PS : Besides, as you pointed out, a big part of the reason why the Belchers remain poor to a degree is due to the own decisions they make. They’re way more interested in doing what feels right for them than making money, to a point where they do miss their share of opportunities to make money. But god, as someone who relates a lot to trusting your guts into doing what feels right to you, I really appreciate their way of living. I hope I can live by that kind of mentality, a sorta-moneyless, but also regretless and happy life as I grow older. Last time I bowed down for money I didn’t like it so much.
Bob deserves more. He deserves that car. He deserves that to be debtless. He deserves to have his burgers be recognized and admired. He would have been bankrupt by now if Mr. Fishoeder wasn't lenient with the rent. I gotta wonder if his dad Big Bob would secretly send money to him and/or help pay the bills.
Of course he deserves more. But when in real life has anyone who deserves the world ever got rewarded for being a kind honest person, huh? At the very least he gets real love and recognition from his wife and children, that’s something. It’s reassuring to see.^^
I doubt Big Bob would be so helpful with the rent though, at least not at the beginning. I mean, Bob left home precisely stating he wouldn’t depend on his dad anymore, and he left on bad terms with him even, after a rant. Even to this day they still bicker over small things. I’m sure with the current situation Big Bob COULD probably help with a little money, would it be only to protect his grandkids, but for the first years, I doubt he did anything.
…Hm, or maybe secretly I suppose, indeed, but who knows.
