I signed up to take the AAPPL test a bit ago to get my seal of biliteracy before I graduate and uh- apparently it’s tomorrow!

I’ve heard absolutely nothing about it since they sent out the Google form asking which test you were going to take and I walked into my French class today to see:

AAPPL test tomorrow

7:40 am

And I was so concerned that I’d missed something or there was a different registration I was supposed to do

Nope

They just never said anything about it

Meanwhile they’ve been talking about the IB test like no other

Only a /little/ salty

So I have to do that tomorrow lol

I’ve made a panic French study doc so hopefully that will help

Hey #language #teachers! How do you measure proficiency of your learners? ACTFL Proficiency Guidelines – 2024 emphasize that a learner’s level of proficiency is defined by four criteria:

F – Functions and Tasks

A – Accuracy

C - Context and Content

T - Text type

Are you using a test whose scores are based on ALL of these criteria? If not, then you are NOT measuring proficiency.

Only official ACTFL tests result in a certified ACTFL rating and evaluate language ability on all FACT criteria.

Took the speaking and writing portions of the AAPPL test today. Speaking was kind of a shit show lol but the writing came along and by the last prompt, I was so burnt out omg it took me like an extra 10 minutes just to finish it

it was a lot easier than I thought it would be 

speaking portion tomorrow! yay!

AAPPL Tests

Has anyone taken the AAPPL test for their language? How was it? I'm taking it next week for German and I wanna get a good score, so if you have any tips also, that'd be awesome.
