Hey #language #teachers! How do you measure proficiency of your learners? ACTFL Proficiency Guidelines – 2024 emphasize that a learner’s level of proficiency is defined by four criteria:

F – Functions and Tasks

A – Accuracy

C - Context and Content

T - Text type

Are you using a test whose scores are based on ALL of these criteria? If not, then you are NOT measuring proficiency.

Only official ACTFL tests result in a certified ACTFL rating and evaluate language ability on all FACT criteria.
