New Video: Ghous uz Zaman Aur Hazoor ﷺ Ka Batni Mahekma - Rijaal ul Ghaib | By His Holiness @younusalgohar
#AskYounusAlGohar - What does the Esoteric Cabinet of Prophet Mohammad (saw) consist of?
HH Younus AlGohar's detailed description of the Esoteric Cabinet of Prophet Mohammad "Rijaal ul Ghaib - The Hidden Men".
Main Points:
- Prophet Mohammad (saw) created an Esoteric Cabinet for the sake of the salvation of his common followers. This Esoteric Cabinet consists of 360 saints who are sent down in every era; they are not directly connected to God because they are appointed by Prophet Mohammad.
- This Esoteric Cabinet is called Rijaal ul Ghaib which is loosely translated as 'The Hidden Men'; it doesn't mean these people are invisible, rather they are among you but you do not know what their spiritual rank is.
- The head of the Esoteric Cabinet is called 'Ghous' which means Helper. The job of the Ghous is to teach the followers Esoteric Sharia (religious law) which is for the purification of the Carnal Self as this knowledge is not available in any book.
- The Ghous has 3 subordinates called 'Qutub'; their job is to take the pledge of allegiance from the followers on behalf of the Ghous. Then, there are 40 Abdaal who are in charge of calculating the provisions of the entire nation. And then there are 120 Abrar as well, they are also helpers.

Someone once complained to Shaykh Sayyiduna Shah Abdul Aziz Muhaddith Dehlawi (Alayhir Rahmah), ‘Why are the affairs of Delhi in disorder these days?’ He replied, ‘These days the Abdaal [i.e. spiritual leader of Delhi] is a sluggish and easy going person.’ The complainer asked, ‘Who is he?’ He replied, ‘He is so-and-so watermelon seller in such-and-such market.’ That person visited the Abdaal who was selling watermelons. He requested the Abdal to cut a watermelon and give him a slice [as if to taste it before purchasing] but rejected it having tasted. Then he asked for another slice. The man kept on doing so until he wasted so many melons. Despite the loss of several melons, the Abdaal did not utter any word of complaint or resentment. After some time, the same person noticed that the affairs of Delhi were well-organized. He inquired about the current Abdaal. The Shaykh informed, ‘The current Abdal is a water seller at ‘Chandni Chowk’ and receives a Chahdam (quarter of a penny) for every glass he sells.’ This man went to the Abdaal with a Chahdam and asked for a glass of water. The Abdal gave him the water but he dropped the glass of water and asked for another. The Abdaal asked, ‘Do you have another Chahdam?’ The man said, ‘No!’ The Abdaal slapped him on the head and remarked, ‘Have you thought that I am also like that watermelon-seller?’ May Allah Almighty have mercy on them and forgive us without accountability for their sake!
