BASIC INFORMATION

BIOGRAPHY:

Alexei was the first of three children born to Igor and Galina Reznikov. Both of his parents came from a long line of pure blood witches and wizards and they held their status in high regard. Igor and Galina’s marriage was arranged, so there was a lack of love between the pair which was always tangible to their children. Within the first five years of his life, Alexei was joined by a brother, Ilya, and a sister, Ekaterina, respectively.

The Reznikov family resided in Russia. Igor had a job within the magical government but it was a poorly kept secret that he was a dark wizard with bad intentions.

Igor was malicious and violent, he did not spare the rod when it came to his children and Alexei got the worst of it. It was not until Alexei’s acceptance to Durmstrang arrived that Alexie began to find reprieve from the abuse he suffered at the hands of his father. Igor had feared Alexei was a squib as he did not seem to show any signs of magic, or he never spoke about them. But he was, in fact, a natural legilimens.

Alexei was quiet his first few years at Durmstrang – joined in his second year by Ilya – he didn’t make many friends because he kept to himself. He was bright, however, and incredibly gifted in both the Dark Arts (to Igor’s pleasure) and Potions. In his third year, when Alexei’s father was killed during a stand off with the Ministry in London, Galina called in a chit with some connections she had in the United States. Alexei and Ily were both sorted into Wampus upon their arrival at Ilvermorny. Alexei joined the Quidditch team where he demonstrated great skill, and he became prefect then Head boy in his seventh year.

Alexei’s end exam scores were exemplary - he had had very little social life to distract him from his studies so his interest in becoming an Auror was well-suited. He passed easily and began to work with the MACUSA, eventually rising up the ranks and becoming one of the most renowned Aurors internationally.

Alexei truly does not know among the group of people who raised him who is biological parents are. That complete uncertainty scares him because besides knowing his parents were drug addicts... he knows nothing about them. No clues as to medical history, no understanding of where he came from, no extended family to rely on. He truly doesn't even know what to put on paperwork about his ethnicity, because he's just physically ambiguous enough that his parents could've been any of the diverse group. (fc David D.astmalchian is white/middle eastern so Alexei is as well. But he does not know that)

He doesn't want to admit that there's a true emptiness there, but he also isn't sure he wants to know. What if his father was the man he watched die as a small child? What if his parents were among the ones who abused him? What if his father was the abuser he killed? Learning that wouldn't bring him any comfort, so he sticks with the hollowing uncertainty.
