Strangers // Tehra x Hiryuu

It might have been a new city, but the story was the same - she’d cleared out one city and the number of vampires and other nasty supernatural beings had grown in this one. And so the huntress had set her sights on it. Another jungle of concrete and cement, filled to the brim with creatures lusting after the blood of those she protected.
Of course, the first few days here had seen Tehra locate the perfect townhome and settle in. She’d discreetly moved her array of silver weapons into the two-bedroom before having her furniture and other items delivered. She was settled enough, and it was time to start making her presence felt by the bloodthirsty monsters in this godforsaken place.
Tehra had started, of course, in one of the seedier club districts. While abandoned factories, warehouses, and other large structures typically housed the nests, it was good to start small in a new place. And so she sought out the places where the vampires would be seeking victims and started her hunt.
It was easy enough, 200 years had really honed her tracking abilities - it was almost muscle memory at this point. Locate, track, kill, sleep, repeat. That’s all it ever was and this night would be no different.
She’d found herself a group of three trying to lure a lonely, too-drunk girl away with them. It seemed to be working as they’d gotten her in a somewhat secluded alley away from the club and the girl only seemed to just then realize the danger she was in. Fortunately, for her, Tehra was there to stop anything from happening.
With shocking ease, she ambushed the vampires - they were young, and too hungry to notice her scent creeping up on them. The first was dispatched in a matter of seconds thanks to a silver throwing knife to the heart. The other two were slightly more effort - they attacked her at once and got a few swipes in, but ultimately she decapitated one and stabbed through the heart of the other.
It had become so easy it was almost laughable. Of course, she’d purposefully sought out the bottom rung of this city’s vampires. It wouldn’t draw the attention of the greater covens yet, but it was always good to start slow in a new city, lest the wrong pair of eyes see her.
