01. FAMILY/BACKGROUND

Rosa and her siblings grew up in Blackwater, Arizona; it’s credited as being one of the “poorest towns in America” and that’s definitely no lie.

Her mother, Maribel Lopez, had twin girls, Santana and Rosa, with an old flame, Pedro González. He wanted nothing to do with his babies, and has never even met them.

Maribel was never able to hold down a relationship for very long, and went on to have another son, Javier, who is now eighteen years old, with a one night stand, followed by Gabriel (now seven) and Camila (now five) with her now ex boyfriend, Stanley Robbins.

02. PERSONALITY

Pretty much the polar opposite of her twin sister, Rosa is sweet, kind, friendly, and honestly kind of a pushover. She’s the type of person who struggles to say “no” to anybody if they ask something of her.

There’s definitely a mama bear in Rosa, who has always been happy to help out with her younger siblings, and with taking care of the family home whenever Maribel would go out to work one of her many (poorly paid) jobs.

03. CAREER/WORK ETHIC

From the moment she was old enough, Rosa has never not worked. During high school, she worked multiple jobs all at once, such as babysitting, retail, and even a roller diner girl at a town two bus rides away. She has always helped with the household money, and made sure to save and save and save some more for her own college fund.

Rosa is obsessed with fashion. She definitely did not grow up with the best clothes, and has always been able to appreciate them. She knew she wanted to be a fashion designer before she’d even reached high school.

A scholarship afforded her the opportunity to attend San Francisco State where she majored in Apparel Design & Merchandizing. She of course worked all throughout college.

Rosa’s dream is to own her own fashion line; NDHQ is how she’s hoping to pay to get things started.

04. MISCELLANEOUS

Because she grew up with very little, Rosa is grateful for everything she has.

Living in an NDHQ suite is like heaven for her; her last apartment was a tiny shoebox one in San Francisco where the couch doubled as a bed.

Rosa has a cat, Boho, given to her for her twenty-sixth birthday last November.

As well as working at NDHQ, and trying to get her fashion line started, Rosa is still working one of her nanny jobs for a family with twin boys, Ethan and Evan, who Rosa has taken care of since they were infants. They’re now six years old and have never known another nanny.

05. DISORDER (ed tw)

Rosa is generally very busy, and often struggles to find the time to eat. Because of this, she became used to running on very little food.

She’s less confident than her sister, and finds herself to be inferior in every way. This led to her trying to improve herself, and had her begin obsessing over having the “perfect” body. She can’t really afford gym memberships and expensive workout regimes, so Rosa found that the cheap way to achieve this was to skip meals. Unfortunately, it became a big habit for her, and now Rosa can’t help but be repulsed by food, and feels guilty for putting it into her body.

Rosa is vegan, but only because it means she doesn’t have as many options at restaurants and people’s houses, therefore she can pretend like that’s why she isn’t eating.

Rather than spending money on working out, Rosa runs often - each morning and each evening at the very least. She has been known, especially recently, to pass out during or after a run.
