Saw a post asking if there were human-hating affini like there are cat-hating humans and now I'm imagining a "floret distribution system" like the whole cat distribution system meme

Like imagine an affini who's sworn off florets finding a lost little one, so confused, a stray. She can't help but want to care for it, nurture it, and in return it offers her its affection. Eventually, she ends up adopting it as her own, her precious little floret.

Holy fuck, to connect better with my friend i decided to read human domestication guide finally, to me was kinda mid at best, but then i found abscission and somehow its literally best thing i ever read?!?!?

the descriptions of physiology of affini, the amazing use of setting to cause drama, actuall drama that's isnt just resisting domestication, the stakes in all that, buildup, and how amazing resolution of build up tension in ch28!?!?

im not really into the forced domestication part of setting, and abscission doesnt use it, i trully didnt believe hdg fics had anything other than just that, but here we are??!?!?

I actually cannot stop thinking about Abscission. The concept of scarification for the sake of covering up someone’s self-harm scars with something new and beautiful to mark their relationship? Noticing the want to cover up those scars and immediately thinking of a way to do so permanently? It genuinely brings me to tears, like I have never given scarification a thought before but that specific context is so incredibly loving and thoughtful and caring…

Just read chapter 5 of Abcission, getting back to it and omfg this is everything I wanted from Elvy/Akash in the OG story!! This Affini/floret relationship is fucking precious and I've literally barely scratched the surface with 45 chapters to go! I'm so so here for this I relate to Autumn way too hard, like omfg this is so so fucking great!! First time in a while reading AO3 in general let alone HDG, fuck this feels great to get back to~!

Read Human Domestication Guide and Abscission for the first time last weekend and *Ohhh my stars* I had heard good things but I literally did not settle back to a neutral mood until *this morning*, and frankly I'm pretty sure that's mostly because I'm so tired from staying up reading Divaricated that I can't properly feel anything else

Several times I literally had to put my phone down and go for a walk before I could keep reading because I was smiling so hard it physically hurt

2554/10, would immerse myself in the protagonist so thoroughly that I still felt bad trying to use Mistress's name writing this very sentence

holy shit abscission from HDG is amazing damn im realizing i missed reading and also i really like this setting

i mean, this story is (right now) very soft on the domination aspect, and rn where im at no sex. and its awesome

(tough if you're gonna read it warning you its a lot about mental health. paranoia, depression, anxiety etc.)
