So We Meet Again...
So We Meet Again…
Week after week I basically do the same thing. I have comfortably settled into the backward way of thinking which says something like ‘people need to have the Good News proclaimed to them each and every week’. Jesus, his person and work, delivered directly into their ears. In fact I have taught our church that if they do not hear me teaching just that, then I have severely failed. I can mess up a…

Via @abwe_intl - Prayer can change the destiny of an entire people group. How? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The Rohingya Muslims from Myanmar (Burma) are less than .0001% evangelical, according to our best data. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Until recently, the Rohingya peoples have been completely out of reach. But tragic events involving conflict with Myanmar government officials and accusations of terrorism and/or radicalization of some Rohingya began what the U.N. is describing as a genocide, forcing now more than 1 million Rohingya into neighboring Bangladesh. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ God’s providence is unbelievable. Just across the border inside Bangladesh, Memorial Christian Hospital is there to meet not only the physical needs, treating wounds of war, but the spiritual needs too. Other great organizations like @samaritanspurse have also stepped in and are ministering in powerful ways. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ God is using a tragedy to expose the Rohingya to the hope of Jesus and his good news. Ultimately, we must pray passionately and ferociously for the remote, hidden, and inaccessible peoples of the world. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Today, pray that God would work powerfully through providence, governments, churches, organizations, and individuals to bring inaccessible people to within arm’s reach of spiritual hope. Pray consistently that movements will be started where previously an entire people group was spiritually darkened. Pray can transform entire peoples and nations. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #Rohingya #Bangladesh #prayer #encouragement #prayerrequest #mission #missional #intercession #ABWE #Asia #SouthAsia #1040window #unreached

Why Home Fellowships Can Help Abused Women and the Institutional Church Cannot
Originally published March 31, 2015
In our vision for a return to the way Judeo-Christian assemblies were done for about the first 300 years, let’s look at why home fellowships can help abused women and the institutional church cannot.
I would like to use this articleas a catalyst for argumentation. The article was posted (author is not clearly stated) by Anna Wood who co-authored a book with…

Reader's Guide to Pii’s ABWE and Donn Ketcham Investigations Final Report
Prepared by MK Safety Net Canada
Due to the imposing nature of the almost-300 page document summarizing Pii’s investigation, MK Safety Net Canada has compiled a summary guide to assist people in grasping the basics of what is contained in the larger document. It’s important to note that each person has different priorities, different things they regard as crucial. This guide can’t account for everybody’s priorities in the report, but is a basic outline of what the broadest population might find pertinent.
It is our hope this will enable more people (who otherwise could not access the whole report) to understand the abuse Donn Ketcham committed, how ABWE protected him, and the remarkable resilience of the victims/survivors who ensured an independent investigation was launched and completed.
