Peter Parker was born to Richard and Mary Parker in New York. His early life was a mysterious one with his parents leaving him in the care of his aunt and uncle. After his parents were killed in an airplane crash, Peter was adopted by his aunt and uncle but always struggled to understand why his parents left.
Whilst helping his uncle move things around in the basement, Peter found an old brief case of his father’s containing ties to OsCorp. Peter visited OsCorp Tower the next day, getting in by stealing an intern ID card. It was there that Peter was bitten by a genetically modified spider after sneaking into one of the OsCorp labs and found himself developing strange abilities. He let the powers consume him for a while, showing off and getting a little arrogant. After a shoplifter killed and shot his uncle however, Peter was instilled with a new responsibility. He tried to track down the murderer for a long time, feeling responsible for not stopping him sooner. Unfortunately, even after stopping a great number of criminals, the police dubbed him a vigilante and set out to arrest him.
Peter also used his father’s research to assist Dr. Connors in creating a serum that would help regrow missing limbs. Unfortunately the experiment went wrong and Connors became a monster. Peter put himself at great risk to stop him and police chief Stacy - his girlfriend’s father - was killed in the battle. Stacy made Peter promise he would stop seeing Gwen in order to keep her out of danger. Peter agreed, feeling compelled to keep his promise since it was the last wish of a dying man.
He continued to act alone as Spider Man but it was during what he assumed was an attempted robbery that he witnessed a vampire sucking the blood of another human. He tried to fight the monster but it escaped and even when Peter later saw news about how the “vampires" were the result of a genetic disease, but he wasn’t convinced. Whilst setting out to fight them, he came face to face with Director Fury, who told him the Avengers Initiative had been keeping tabs on him for some time and that they required his help. Peter has yet to accept the offer.
