Bisexuals belong in the L G B T Q I A P + community?
Do Aces belong in the L G B T Q I A P + community?
Do Trans folk belong in the L G B T Q I A P + community?
Do people not know what those letters stand for? So, so tired of gate keeping nonsense.

Things that will never cease to amaze me
Allosexuals telling asexuals what the real definition of asexuality is and how it doesn’t count as a real orientation because it doesn’t cover all forms of attraction
“asexuals don’t like sex”
the insistence that only “cishet” aces/aros are not allowed when the term is applied to any and everyone who disagrees
the implication that aces don’t deserve to be LGBTQ+ bc some aces have acted shitty
the simultanous sexualization of aces, all while insisting that ace headcannons desexaulize characters
The refusal to listen to aces and their expierences
The overall exclusion of aromantic people from the whole discourse
The utter confusion of people outside the discourse about this whole debacle
the whole fricking mess
This is kinda a random question but I love to hear your opinions on things. But what do you feel about the whole ace discourse thing? Like where people try to call ace/aro people cishets?
Those people are wrong. Like, Aro/Ace folks are totally LGBT+
@ rebelbaze and everyone else who still wants to start shit on that aro/ace ask.
Let me be clear if I was not already: This is not shit I’m going to argue about. The idea that ace folks are our “oppressors” is laughably flawed and deeply toxic. The kind of gatekeeping being advocated for is used as a bludgeon for other marginalized people.
And I won’t continue to debate it. I said I wasn’t going to debate it, and I’m not going to continue to let myself get dragged into the discussion that is ultimately harmful and disrespectful to many of my followers.
Labels and the boundaries and definitions that surround our community change with time and always have, and I will err on the side of not being an asshole to other marginalized people, respecting our differences, and embracing our identities and commonalities.

I added the screenshots so you can stop ignoring your own ahistorical argument
You know what, I didn’t know that was the history of that particular piece of rhetoric. I stand corrected on that. A problematic origin does not undo its role in the evolution of the community however.
Now, the idea that Asexuals are Cisgender Heterosexual is blatantly false, the idea that Aro/Ace folks are our oppressors is toxic and harmful, and the entire discussion is one in which I am not willing to engage in. I made that clear from the beginning- this topic is not up for debate with me. If you have a problem with it, block or unfollow.
Asexuality and Aromantism are not modfiers to sexuality/romantic orientation. They are identites onto themselves and deserve to be treated as such.
Why is that apparently controversial?
call out post for rebelbaze
