Happy Pride from Hynden!

Baronetess of Greed and second oldest child of Mammon, Hynden Avidità could get pretty much anything she wants, she just has a hard line. While she likes the company of both men and women, in the hundreds of years she’s been alive, she’s never looked at anyone “that way.” Dedicated more to the art of the cards than the art of love, she actually takes pride in the fact that she’s not as “distracted” as her siblings. She might not be a queen of hearts, but she’s certainly an Ace in the hole.

We’re doing another round of pinups but this time they’re for Pride! So enjoy seeing different Twisted Tales characters repping their flags throughout the month of June!

Acedia (He/They) is a DCA oc I made so I could bully @certified-handler into playing dolls with me. She made Invidia <3

Acedia (Ace is fine) was part of a line-up of animatronics that were originally destined for an early incarnation of what would soon become Fredbear's Family Diner in the mid 1970's.

On route, the truck and all its contents were intercepted and stolen by an evangelical itineracy group (cult) that traveled the states performing tent revivals outside what they considered "sinful cities." The animatronics were all soon renamed after the seven deadly sins and forced to perform for children at the tent revivals to teach them the perils of sinning.

Invi and Ace grew close in the first few years, drawn to each other like moths to each other's flame. Their relationship was intense and passionate at the onset, but the factors of their existence within the cult, as well as their differing personalities caused undue strain on their union. Ace felt Invi wasn’t satisfied with who he was and wanted him to become someone he wasn’t. He grew resentful of his partners seeming disdain for who he was and distanced himself. The two began to bicker and things soured.

Just as the relationship truly began to fall apart, the cult leader was busted for multiple crimes, and the group soon deteriorated, with the animatronics being powered down and put into storage by a few of the members.

Decades later, the storage units are auctioned off when the former cult members lapse on the payments. Upon being awoken by their new owner, Ace is overcome with the possibilities ahead. Unable to bring himself to make a choice of what to do with his new life, Ace agrees to accompany Invi despite their break up so that they don't end up in some new sort of side-show scenario like the one they'd just escaped. Invi intends to visit all those "sinful cities" that they never got to explore and Ace is along for the ride.

The two now travel the continental United States, visiting the places they were told were full of sin and sadness, trying to find their place in this world and trying not to let on to the other just how desperately in love they still are with one another.
