I think writing an Affini that experiences sexual attraction to their floret goes against the point of HDG
this is not a very in depth post/rant/whatever, just saying some things i think tbh
Affini can still find their florets aesthetically attractive and pretty etc but like no, sexual attraction no, just write in a different setting
As for sex itself, like... sure, an Affini can pleasure their floret, but it should only be just another thing they can do, not held as more important to the Affini than playing a board game, and given the complex, in depth nature of sex i really think the Affini would be making absolutely sure it's something the floret would want and enjoy, and not just push it as a way to fix a problem or make their floret like them more
i've noticed HDG has gained an association on the internet as being a rape fetish setting and like, what? how has it even degraded to the point where that's a thing? of course the Affini are going to be aware of rape and the detrimental mental health effects of it, and they are going to treat it the same way they would anything else that could create trauma for a floret and be careful with it???
if your Affini character is getting pleasure out of having sex with their floret in any other way than seeing their floret enjoying themselves, the same as they would seeing their floret high on class-As or enjoying an amazing meal, i'm sorry but you're not writing an Affini
ttlg writes a good sex scene that i don't feel is incompatible with the acekink themes of the setting, write more like that
