Holy shit I absolutely LOVED the animation in mixed messages and had no idea you were on tumblr!! I saw Buttons in a separate video on my dash and was like BASTARD SONG RAT MAN!!?!?!? And it turns out he’s a whole character with a story?? 10/10 I love your style and your unhinged characters

There’s a part in the Song of Achilles where he asks Patroclus to name one hero who was happy. Patroclus can’t, so Achilles tells him, “I’m going to be the first. Swear it.” Patroclus asks, “Why me?” and Achilles says, “Because you’re the reason.”

I’m not a hero. I just do my best to help others, to be good. But you’re the reason I can be. You’re the reason I keep on living, keep on being good. You’re my hero.

So, I swear to you, right now, that you’re going to be happy.

“I swear it,” I said, lost in the high color of his cheeks, the flame in his eyes.
