On the episode of The Flash that played on March 13th a new meta-human villain is introduced, Phillip Henry Master, Acid Master.

I vaguely recalled a bad guy by that name and just happened to have the one and only comic he appeared in.

No, he was not an obscure Flash foe, he appeared in Action Comics # 348 in 1967, and while not a Flash villain he was also not a Superman or Supergirl one either.

Turns out he was a Clark Kent, Fighting Federal Agent opponent, a situation which was also a one-time event.

I guess this shows there is no telling what forgotten old character might turn up next in that series.

This character only showed up once in his original universe but was revived in the modern day AND used as a villain on The Flash and I think the only reason is because that costume objectively fucks Action Comics 348
