Lil Intro

Hey there, my name is Anna. I’ve recently made some major changes to my life which has led to me deciding to document my life for the internet to read and see. The beginning of 2020 started wonderfully. I had just gotten my associates degree in Political Science, my oldest sister announced her pregnancy, began to live on my own, was job searching for work in a law firm in Philadelphia and I had a newly found freedom that I had not been able to experience before. The week after a trip to visit my Dad’s new house in Florida in March, the pandemic hit the US. I stopped working (as a waitress), broke up with my boyfriend (though that was not the end of it completely), and my sister moved out leaving me to go through most of quarantine by myself.

I am very privileged to have been able to live comfortably throughout the quarantine. It was a very interesting time for me. I had never been left by myself and to my own thoughts this much in a very long time. It terrified me to not be abel to distract myself with work and other activities. I found out a lot about myself and there are many wacky stories that I have from this part of the pandemic which I will eventually share. Back to my main topic though, during quarantine my oldest sister who had relocated to Las Vegas the year prior, asked me to come stay with her to become her Au Pair when she had to go back to work.

I agreed to her question because;  had always wanted to live on the West Coast, I still had (or have) no idea what I want to do for my career, and I had to move out of my house that was being sold. So on August 6, 2020 I hopped on a flight, mask on with a wild mix of emotions about my new upcoming life. My adorable niece, Colette was born on September 3, 2020. She is now 5 weeks old and flourishing as she continues to grow and learn.

My sister and I agreed I’d only be out here for about a year. So during this year, I’m just going to type my ups and downs in the hope that someone out there will be able to relate. I know tumblr is kind of 2014 but, I don’t really care... at all. I’m bringing it back this year haha. Well that’s the best introduction I can do right now about my current life situation. Trust me, there is a shit ton more about my life that I’ll discuss in time. For now, welcome to my page!
