I wish I could just pick you up and wrap you in the softest, warmest hug possible so you never have to feel sad alone. Or even stand up alone. I wish I could be the little devil on your shoulder poking and pushing away everyone who didn't deserve you. I'm so sorry there will always be days where you'll feel lonely and weak and sad. No sewing, but in the hour and a half (ish) I had after getting youngest to sleep (it was after 1130pm before she was proper asleep), I cut out and ironed on all the interfacing. Those pieces now feel strong. XD

And earlier, got Dad to try on the toile. Arm holes were too small, shoulders too wide, but fit around his belly and I could do straps at the back to tighten. Not bad for someone with only half an idea of how to do things. One day I'll sit down and properly read my sewing books, but for now I'll just use them for reference (like how I wanna try and do a welt pocket for the waistcoat - I've never done a welt anything before now). Even better, I got to use my crappy tailor's pencil to draw out where I wanted to change the toile. XD Learning new skills is fun!

So here's hoping tomorrow is a bit quieter so I can finish sister's gift and start on the kids' pjs. Get those three squared away and I can take a running leap at Dad's waistcoat. 😊
