Do you have any fics to rec where it mostly focuses on the dynamic between John and Sherlock? Bc I like most recs but it's usually E, and it's all fine, but I really need that "i love you just bc i do" kinda stuff. I just see a lot of E and tbh I'm skimming recs now bc it's mostly E. At least the ones I see. So, if you have any? :D
Unfortunately, most fics are explicit and I totally understand where you’re coming from. Reading smut in every fic can be so tiring and repetitive.
Here is a list of clean fics. Here is a list of clean Valentine’s Day fics.
And the following are from my rated general tag and my rated teen tag.
•John Was Nice Like That: Sherlock Holmes may not ever sleep, but that hasn’t prevented him from having a kip on the couch with John.
•A Visit to the Doctor: When Watson gets ill, Holmes goes to extraordinary lengths to get him well again. ACD/BBC crossover. (ACD Holmes and Watson are together, BBC is not, at least in the beginning).
•I Prefer to Text: Following the encounter with Moriarty, Sherlock and John grow closer via text messages.
•Four Times John Didn’t Propose, and One Time Sherlock Did: Based on a prompt from the kink meme about Sherlock deducing that John is going to propose to him, only for John to do a bunch of other things that are not proposing. So each time Sherlock is surer and surer that John is going to propose, and then….
•Roses are Red: Sherlock has been receiving anonymous Valentines from someone at his school for twelve years.
•The Battle of Bakerloo: The change had occurred, John had accepted it, and when Sherlock had asked, “You don’t mind, do you?”, John had answered, “No, of course not.”In hindsight, an obvious mistake.
•Five Times Sherlock gave John a Pebble and One Time John Returned the Gesture: Written for a prompt by navydream on tumblr: So penguins bring rocks to their mates and Sherlock somehow fond out about this… and suddenly, John starts finding all sorts of pebbles, starting from the ordinary to a rare moon stone.Sherlock isn’t good with words, so he decides to tell John his feelings the way penguins do, by bringing him pebbles with different meanings. John catches on.
