Physical activity for lazy students
Sports aren’t your thing but you are painfully aware that you need some physical activity in order to keep you alive and healthy? I’ve been there... Especially as student not only I don’t have the energy but there is also a very little time. Here are some tips how to incorporate physical activity into your busy life:
Walk -Walk anywhere you can instead of going by car.
Take the stairs -Always take the stairs
Go for walks as a break -It’s best if you take someone with you if possible. It’s more fun and you get your mind more distracted
Ride a bike -Cycling is the best way of transport. Lot of cities even lend bikes!
Stretching -Move your body around, find stiff spots and stretch. Listen to your body. It’s good to stretch daily and it doesn’t matter if you do it in the morning or in the evening.
Yoga -You could slowly upgrade from stretching to yoga! If you go easy and slowly step by step it’s not too physically demanding.
Schedule at least one workout each week -I said what I said. Go. You have to.
Dance -I’m not exactly a preson who’d dance around to be honest but sometimes it’s the best thing I can do for myself.
Reward system -You can watch that Netflix show right after you do 20 sit-ups
Set goals and track your progress
Find what’s fun for you -It won’t be easy but there must be something you’ll like
Ask someone to join -They’ll check if you are getting your much needed activity and every suffering is easier with friends.
Go easy on yourself -You don’t have to destroy yourself in the first workout session. Start with two squats in the morning and another two in the evening. The make it four, then six...
I hope I was helpful and as always have an amazing day!
