Hi well there was this girl I used to be friends with then during the summer she lied, called me names, and started drama and on Instagram she says I made her life hell when I was the one who was being hurt by her she started saying things that weren't true like recently she said I called her and said all this inappropriate stuff when I didn't, she said I copied her since we both make edits of our favorite singers I made only two posts of Shawn mendes and one post about Ariana grande

We are surethat it must be really difficult for you to know that this girl, that you usedto call your friend, has treated you this way. Well, sometimes people react ina way we don´t imagine could happen. You can try to talk to her, try to explainher how bad she has made you feel  andask why she has done this to you, but if you don´t feel like doing it, it´s ok,too. This is just an advice.

You need topay attention to your heart; does it need to clear something with her? Doesyour heart want to talk to her and ask her about this matter? Yesterday, I got in a fight with my best friend. I've been going through depression and all the anger and sadness and anxiety that comes with it and it makes talking to people kind of difficult. I kind of exploded and I want to know what to do. My friend is incredibly different than me. We get in fights a lot but it's not like we don't care about each other. I look up to her like my big sister and she gave me a bunch of hotlines and websites like this one for my depression. I guess I'm kind...

Cont: Of needy and can’t sense moods well and that also wears on people. I tried really hard to be a better friend and went through an exercise to improve my social skills and I thought it was going well until I flipped out on her. Now I’m so worried that I’ll lose her I just feel so alone in the world. When I asked my mom for help, she started talking about how I talk to my other friend and I felt twice as worse. My other friend said I’m a great friend and I learn from my mistakes to be even better.. but I don’t feel like a good friend at all.

Gwen here, I will try my best to help you out okay? Don't flip out about having snapped at your friend, you are trying so hard already and I can tell it has been a long and steady process. Don't give up!

You have to maintain your optimism for what you're going through: you are not going to lose your friend. You adore and look up to her, and you have to trust that she feels the same way towards you, or at least trust in the friendship you have built. If she knows that you truly regret what happened, I'm sure she will be understanding and forgiving, she won't leave your side. You have to talk to her though, let her know what you are telling us now, give her a chance to speak her mind about it too.

You don't have to feel great, or feel like you have to be a good friend at this point; just focus on getting better. You will get better. Your other friend is absolutely right, you do learn from your mistakes to be even better! Keep trying at this exercise to help your social skills and know that even though you made a mistake, it doesn't mean you are failing.

How are you supposed to learn if you don't get something wrong first, after all? :)

I'm so sorry that talking with your mom has made you feel worse. What matters is that you're trying, and it seems like your friends are really appreciating those efforts. Don't let yourself get dragged down by one event, sweetie!
