I absolutely love creating a world and the characters in it and getting the opportunity to bring it to life and share it with people. I love setting up the main and editing day after day to make sure each little detail is just right. I love writing the bios and feeling yourself grow attached to each and every character. And I love seeing people respond so eagerly, ready to help tell the story along with me.
I love it to death but sometimes admins are asked too much.
Remember that they have lives outside of the roleplay. And that they can't always be there to write another character or do acceptances when you want. They can't always be on the dash, posting or answering starters. But that doesn't mean the dash as to stay quiet or the members have to lurk.
Sometimes when the admins says no you have to respect their choices. You may not like that they won't make a change to the faceclaim or a change to their biography but you have to remember that this is their baby. They've put effort, thought, and a countless amount of time into each and every aspect. You don't have to like their decision but you have to respect it. Work with them, not against them. (Admins work with your roleplayers as well!)
And sometimes admins need to remember to take a step back.
That next character graphic can wait. You don't have to post a starter if you're tired or upset, even if the dash is slow. You don't need to stalk freehostedscripts at every moment. School is important. Your family and friends are important. Leaving the computer and living life is important.
Being an admin can be great. Many of us love our roleplays and cherish them to death but realize your limits. Take a step back every once and awhile and focus on yourself.
