Storytime: Today’s Recital

so I had my viola recital today and basically I had one rehearsal with the pianist the day before. We ran through it once and my teacher was like “ok slow it down a bit” so we did it a bit slower and it was good. But today. I got up on stage (no warm up) and the piano started the intro bit. Shawty played it soooo slowwww. Like I had been playing 3 times that speed. So I’m freaking out and somehow manage to play through it without major mistakes. So yeah fun on the spot adapting today ✌️✌️

What Your Perferred Playing Method Says About You

Full Orchestra- you might be just a tad bit shy in your playing abilities, but you’re also super sweet and fun to be around.

String Orchestra- what did those band kids do to you? They only smell a little bit

Chamber Orchestra - this is only used for baroque music so I’m just gonna say my pure opinion here and that is this: no

Solo- whoa slow down there and give some confidence to the rest of us ok? You have GIGANTIC DICK ENERGY

Duets- hmmm I bet you’ve been planning duets with a secret crush of yours am I right or ?

Trios- awwww ur cute 🥰

Quartets- my personal fave, so speaking from experience here- you like the sweet spot between solo and orchestra, you are a classic, not too fancy but not too basic either. Overall high quality personality

Anything larger than quartet but not full orchestra- kind of an obscure choice here but it deserves mega respect- good choice you drink big brain juice for sure.
