So since everyone loves gay witches I wanted to call your attention to two other series, featuring gay witches that actually get to be canonically gay. As much as I love Little Witch Academia, it’d have been even better if they could have been officially gay. Witch Hat Atelier might actually go there though, I’ll hold out hope til it doesn’t happen. Here’s two series that do canonically have wlws(witch loving witches).
First up… Love and Other Wicked Things
This is a very cute series, set in a modern world where witches are largely hidden. There’s a plot, but honestly 80% is just Rhia and Valerie being very gay and coming to terms with their feelings for each other. Bonus points for them getting together before the climax and actually getting to see them date. Fairly short, but complete series that delivers on both magic and gay witches.
Next up… Muted
This one definitely has plot, and deals with some pretty heavy topics. Also has the very rare polyamorous romance. A fantastic series, with 3 seasons that has a very well deserved end for an extremely hate-able villain.
Honorary mention to Aerial Magic, it was a very cute series that had a variety of gay witches but the abrupt ending hurts. It’s worth a read still, but be warned it wasn’t truly finished.
