— loosely inspired by this post by @lovelala2 and some others i’ve seen doing this in the past (+ i’ve had this scripted and decided to share it now lol)
☆. reverse mirror selfies !
what once started as a silly malfunction her old iPhone made while she took pictures for her instagram, soon became a trend everyone on the internet wanted to join. soon enough everyone was taking their own reverse mirror selfies. who knew a malfunction would’ve made her an icon!
☆. the “zia braids” (french curl + peakaboo braid combo) !
after an iconic reveal to her infamous 2024 burgundy braids with pink peakaboo at a year end award show, this hairstyle became all the rage across the internet with fans coining them the “zia braids” as they put their own spin on it with different colours of their own. other netizens even giving it a go by dying their hair and leaving a ‘peakaboo’ of a different colour underneath if they couldn’t get braids specifically. more idols were soon spotted with their two toned hair during comebacks not long after.
☆. sports jerseys !
as a sports lover at heart and former athlete herself, zia always tries to incorporate the things she loves into her everyday as much as possible, and this includes her style. after stealing one of her brother’s old soccer jerseys during the time she went back home for her break, she was spotted wearing this at the airport back and this effortless fit paired with grey sweatpants immediately had everyone gawking. how does she pull something so simple off so effortlessly?? and netizens wasted no time running to get their own jerseys styling it for themselves drawing inspiration from zia’s own athleisure look book.
☆. platform shoes !
and who exactly said tall girls can’t wear heels? standing at 171cm (5’7), zia isn’t a giant but she is considered to be on the much taller side, not only as a kpop idol, but even in korea as many of the women there are much shorter. but this doesn’t stop her from pairing her outfits with any form of platform she can find because she’s absolutely obsessed with them. fans were quick to notice this too very early on seeing as many of her own shoes were platformed and accentuated her beautifully. now any time a kpop fan spots another fellow kpop stan wearing platformed shoes, it’s safe to say they probably bias zia.

true to zia nature, what’s a baddie without a little weirdness in her. if anything her camera roll is 90% goofy and 10% serving, and that includes pictures of others. zia will go on to post the most jaw dropping stunning photos and videos you’ve ever seen before dropping a derpy little picture right at the end to throw everyone off. others soon began taking their own .5 pictures to add to their own crackhead collection.
☆. “ziaism” aka the stargirl aesthetic !
after posting behind the scenes celebration pictures from her 23rd birthday trip to thailand, all the dazzling nightlife pictures filled with glitter, flashing lights and sequins drew in even non-kpop fans from how authentically fun and free it all seemed. she was called “stargirl” in the comments by one fan but seemingly this brought more traction to those who didn’t know her to also call her the “stargirl of kpop” and this aesthetic, from the style to the bold, eccentric, free but sincere heart it carried was soon recognised as “ziaism” to her fans. ziaism hence became one many chased to achieve for themselves too.
☆. waist chains !
if she’s wearing a crop top or her waist is out and about, best believe there’s a high chance she’s got a chain around her waist. this has become part of her signature, especially during dance practice where you’ll likely spot a slight shimmer reflecting around her midsection and that’s her waist chain. with a small collection she’s managed to grow over the years, zia owns atleast 10 different chains that she likes to accessorise with her outfits accordingly. fans and idols alike have grown to admire this accessory and have started to rock their own and have even asked zia herself where they could get some for their own collection.
☆. layered jewellery !
when she jokingly called herself the “jewellery queen”, she honestly… wasn’t actually joking- if there’s one thing zia loves (other than making music and her loved ones), it’s her jewellery, and more than that she loves to layer and stack them. she layers her jewellery in such a way where she’s rather intentional about how and where she places her jewellery because in her own words, they form as an extension of herself when she wears them. with a collection of over 20 owned pieces ranging from gold, silver, gemstones, you name it, they are her pride and joy. netizens have come to study and understand just how she’s able to do this and flawlessly so wanting to be just like her.

this was seemingly at first something fun she decided to do over a weekend with giselle and yunjin and upon revealing the new gems to fans over a live, the internet went haywire. not only because of how damn perfect her teeth were ironically, but the jewels added on to her own personal style so well. what was meant to be a one time experiment, soon became more normal as she continued to get different tooth gem designs with others whenever she could, sometimes even matching. fans became obsessed themselves and began getting their own sets, sometimes even trying to get the same zia had at the same time. who knows what design she’ll do next?
☆. tracksuit sets !
above everything else, zia always prioritises comfort in her clothes. this is most especially evident when the season grows colder and you can expect her to pull up in a matching tracksuit set, it’s 100x better if the set comes together and wasn’t just a random hoodie and sweats that somehow work. most notably this being 250910 zia, fans have never stopped raving about, when she was seen in her black juicy couture set at the airport and this even reaching the brand itself, not long after came the “juicy couture x zia” collab that blew everyone away and sold out within minutes. she lives and will die on the mountain that is “comfort over anything” when it comes to her fashion. but that doesn’t mean you can’t look good.
☆. high-angle face hidden selfies !
this started as a fun selfie angle she used trying to show off her outfit without revealing her bare, puffy morning face on her way to the studio before thinking to herself… “wait- this lowkey eats”. fans praised her fit but more than that, more idols began utilising this themselves having realised how genius it was because they wouldn’t have to show their faces if they didn’t want. alas, more and more people started taking their own pictures this way and it became the perfect “on my way, ootd” angle.
