Thinking about Garnet and Six complementing each other’s shades with complete straight faces
So I randomly have the desire for a fic where Space Dad and Agent Dad meet and compare notes about their rowdy heroic children.
Six: You stay here and count to 10 while we go and hide and then you come and find us.
Young Rex: Ok, daddy!
Six: No no, not “Daddy”. I’m the nice kid who wants to be your friend, Ok?
Young Rex: Ok, daddy!
Six: No-
what happened to your dad?
. . . Okay I guess my bored moment of vulnerability really walked into this one. :::T
It’s not some crazy harrowing tale or origin story or anything though!
But to uh, make a long story short, my dad has taught me everything I know computer wise. He’s a damn good hacker and was on the front of computer technology when it was really starting to pick up! He has a degree in ethical hacking and I uh thought that he was the IT manager at a bank but turns out that he . . he’s a secret CIA agent. Which really doesn’t help me when I stole this illegal suit from an underground weapons trading ring.
I didn’t know my dad was in the CIA until I walked in on him trying to follow my digital steps when I discovered the chat room for my suit. I thought he was just being a proud hacker parent because I covered my tracks pretty well!—But I did some more digging myself and found out he was tasked with finding the stolen suit :::| My stolen suit.
A few weeks later I’m on the run during patrol and get tackled by my dad. I’d like to say it was a really cool fight montage but he totally kicked my ass. ( To be fair he was also the one that taught me karate. ) So. . . now he knows! I think part of him is proud of me for doing what Im doing? But a job is a job. He’s never actually hurt me though, and if anything it’s become a fun game of cat and mouse.
I dont get to actually talk to him much, and I have to be on the run a lot because of it, but I still really love my dad. I understand why he’s doing it, and he understands why I do it. I just miss being able to binge a TV show or playing Gears of War with him :::(
Though he sent me a message that he’s going to have a secret meeting arranged for my 17th birthday! So I’m really looking forward to that!
I didn’t mean to write that much about this honestly. I guess I’m just really bored and medically vulnerable due to pain pills.
hellfirebound replied to your post:
uhh i’m a villain but can he be my dead? better than my demon dad blackheart??
you’re still more respectful than barton. so. done. adopted.
Characters for an upcoming campaign using MASKS, a superhero-themed game which uses the Powered By The Apocalypse system!
My PC Starchild, and his very tired government handler/surrogate parent, Agent Dale A. Delaney (known to most people as “Agent-Dad”.)
You ever have those immovable brain headcanons you know nothing could ever drag out of your cold, dead hands but you also know you’ll never write a fic about it and you don’t even have any ideas about where it came from or where it would fit into anything? Cause, those are always wild.
Btw, Phil Coulson would love the ‘Tasty’ Youtube channel.
