Season 2 of the Shannara Chronicles has this too I think- at the very least they establish Will’s magic has big consequences for it’s use. Also 2x3 is one of my favorite whumpy episodes of TV- it’s like top 10 for me tbh

For the D&D ask meme- 1: your fave character you've ever played And 22 (I think): how long have you been playing/how did you get into it?

1. A favorite character you have played. i really loved playing strahd in our run of the curse of strahd module. he’s such a good villain and you can play him so many ways because of the purposeful vagueness of his personality beyond his aims and goals. in this campaign i wanted him to be more sympathetic but i’m running the module again with a different group and i want him to be a bit more “stone cold evil and loving every second” this time. 

20. How did you get into D&D? How long have you been playing? i started DMing for my current group last february! we were all watching crit role and listening to taz at the time and needed a reason to hang out now that we were all out of college, so getting together and rolling dice and doing silly voices seemed to fit that need perfectly.
