A flag/term for somepony whose regression is related to, affected by, and/or like FNAF.

One who uses this term may use it for a variety of reasons. Some of these are: engaging with FNAF content while regressed, being a FNAF kin, having a special interest, or hyperfixation on FNAF, or many other reasons. This flag is specifically for regressors.

I think there should be a word like not a permaregressor but similar where you feel small right now and have for long time but you think there is possibility of one day not being permakid, you are just still holding onto kidness a bit longer than most!!!

i think theres been a bit of like i guess a rise in posts online mistaking uhm agere as "nonsexual ageplay" or at least having an origin in 'nonsexual ageplay' and i wanted to kinda share abit about what agere is and who uses it and stuff.

big long explanation down below :)

agere is not an offshoot of kink! age regression being cited as a symptom of mental illness, trauma and neurodivergence as well as a therapy practice has been around since the 19th century, Freud (however weird he was) had actually talked on age regression which I think just shows it has been a legitimate part of mental health study for a long while now.

People who experience agere may have lots of different backgrounds, mental illness, trauma, neurodivergence etc. Age regression can be an involuntary symptom of a lot of disorders - it can also be a trauma response. lots of autistic people experience, relate or coincide with age regression in different ways as well- some autistic experiences can apppear as age regression and its important for autistic people to have language to express and communicate this experience, not every autistic person experiences this! actually just to say not every single person with trauma or mental health struggles experiences age regression- but it is more common then you'd think.

its also a purposeful tool, some therapists and hypnotherapists use age regression although this is controversial. Some however just recomend or talk about it with people. it can be good for reparenting, processing, healing and protecting yourself during difficult times. of course age regression can also be unhealthy or used unhealthily but most folks just regress sometimes during specific situations- its good to be able to understand this in a medical context.

as a bit of a side note, the term 'little' has a bit of a foggy history but i saw some real anger around the use of that term by therapeutic spaces since it 'originally belonged to kink'. 'Little' being used to refer to a childlike alter in a DID system was coined back in 2001 it looks like, this term was preferred by some people but most folks just used 'kid alter' the actual term littlespace wasnt being used until a bit later in online communities. It does seem that specifically the term 'littlespace' popped up in sfw and nsfw spaces kinda at the same time. It wasnt added to the urban dictionary until May of 2016 - this first defintion does not talk about kink and only defines the therapy practice. There is a second definition June 2016 that briefly mentions kink but its not a kink only defintion and these make it pretty obvious it was never a kink only term. There's room for me to be wrong but this is a very niche topic to research and I feel Ive done my best to find the truth!

theres my big long dump of info, i hope it was helpful and maybe can clear up the misconceptions certain people have about agere and what/when agere came about!
