C - What member do you identify with most?

By 'member' I'm assuming this means 'team member', so I would definitely be the researcher/the one who knows/can find out everything :P

I - Do you have a guilty pleasure in fic (reading or writing)?

'Guilty pleasure' implies I feel guilt about it ;) hehehe! But I just love me my whump! All the whump!!

K - What’s the angstiest idea you’ve ever come up with?

Ooooooo! I think my angstiest idea is probably something I haven't written yet, but I have some stuff in my Middle-earth Saga (see more below) that I was like "I DON'T WANT TO DO THIS BUT I HAVE TO BECAUSE IT HAS TO HAPPEN!!!!" 😭😭 But as I don't want to give them away, I shall remain mum on the specifics ;)

M - Got any premises on the back burner that you’d care to share?

Well, I already mentioned my Indentured Servant fic in another ask, so for this one, I'm going to say an ages-long, multigenerational Middle-earth fic that surrounds some of the events of Tolkien's works while also writing before, between, and after them. I have this whole little world in my head that fits in with his work (as much as possible) that I've been thinking about for....oh wow....20 years????? There's so much there and SO many characters, and I'm VERY heavily invested in it. Now all I gotta do is write it...heh!

N - Is there a fic you wish someone else would write (or finish) for you?

THAT MIDDLE-EARTH SAGA!!! It's completely alive in my head, I know the characters, I know the general plots as well as a bunch of specific things, so if someone can just read my brain and write it down exactly how I want it, that'd be great, thanks!

P - Are you what George R. R. Martin would call an “architect” or a “gardener”? (How much do you plan in advance, versus letting the story unfold as you go?)

U - Share three of your favorite fic writers and why you like them so much.

Teej - Oh my goodness when she writes a fic, SHE WRITES A FIC!!! Freaking novellas, y'all!! You don't get a simple one-off, you get a full blown story and it's AWESOME!!

Lea - AAAAAANGST!!!!!! Oh man do you ever feel things when you read her stuff! Oof!!! My heart will never be the same!

Aggie - Freaking characterization!! She NAILS IT!!!!! The characters come to life and I can see her fics as movies in my head as I read!

I will forever love you three and I'm so happy to call you friends!! *hugshugshugs*

Z - Major character death–do you ever write/read it? Is there a character whose death you can’t tolerate?

I haven't written any yet, but they are planned. They're part of those angsty ideas of mine up above ;) It's not my cup of tea for reading unless it's part of the canon and if there's an actual POINT to their death and not just stupid angst fodder because the author has no better idea :P Like I said, I love my whump, but if the whumpee dies then that negates much of the whump for me.

As for one character death I can't tolerate.... Are you ready Teej and Lea? You know what's coming:

hello i'm late to the party but. um. i just read all of aggie2011's vpu fics. sos.

YOYOYOYOYOOOOO! congrats my friend, because there's a lot! I've just been recently rereading my favs (mostly because ive been missing the good ol' days of MCU not tearing them and my heart apart) and have been enjoying it so much. VPU is still my go to clintnat fics, or just avenger fics all together. they own my soul.

Well, I didn’t get tagged, but @aggie2011whoop​ posted hers and said anyone could do it if they wanted to and, well, I wanted to!

Okay, so I have more than 20 stories on my FFN and some of them aren’t strictly fanfiction. So here are the ACTUAL fanfiction ones (which actually amount to 20!) from oldest to newest:

Wow, haven't done one of these in a while!

comfort food: so many things, but an egg sandwich and a glass of chocolate milk are a go-to for me

current favourite song: Does listening to 'The Bad Batch Season 1' soundtrack on repeat for the past *checks watch* few months count? favourite fic: 'Youngest in History' by @aggie2011whoop. Soooo good!!! The characters are flawless, the story is irresistible, the bromance is off the freaking charts, and the whuuuuuuuump!! OH MY GOSH!!!!! And that's the first fic I read of hers and that road ended up with me becoming one of her beta readers and me gaining a good friend! :)

I'm slowly but surely working on your latest fic, I swear!! Life's just......*long drawn out exhausted sigh* at the moment...

Well, T I already answered, so here’s F:

F: Share a snippet from one of your favourite dialogue scenes you’ve written and explain why you’re proud of it.

Okay then! This one is from Second Mouse (one of my Bond/Avengers fusion/crossovers):

“That supposed to mean something to me, ma’am, double-oh?”

“It means, Mr. Barton, that Commander Bond has a license to kill.”

Barton drops the country hick act like a hot rock.  Even his face changes, Eve notes.  

“You’re shitting me.  You need a license for that here?” 

“You most certainly do, Mr. Barton.  The United Kingdom is a civilized country.” 

Coulson sends a pleading look towards Barton – Hawkeye – obviously trying to get him to keep the diplomatic incident contained before it goes nuclear.  Eve has the feeling that this doesn’t succeed very often, especially not with Fury grinning like a pit bull whose pup has just started to chew on his first Doberman. 

“Civilized, eh.  So you need, like, a warrant before pulling the trigger?  Judicial oversight?  Accountability, and all that jazz?  Must slow things down quite a bit in a fight.” 

“It’s actually more like a blank cheque,” Bond offers coolly.  “We’re not that civilized.” 

M shoots Bond her best Medusa glare, even as Barton’s eyes light up in an appreciative glint.  The grin he directs at Eve is positively feral. 

“Better get me one of those then, Miss Moneypenny.”

Why do I like it? Because I think it manages to reflect the difference between M (slightly prissy, totally superior and entitled) and Clint Barton’s earthy and calls-’em-like-he-sees-’em predator, as well as the bland, lethal pragmatism of Bond. Also, the effectiveness of the story partly hinges on the cultural difference between MI-6 - government agency, theoretically bound by rules and oversight but not without its hypocrisy when it comes to the Bond version - and the far more obviously cowboyish SHIELD approach.  Finally, in terms of cultural differences, the passage - through Clint’s indignation that he can’t just go out and kill people - serves to get in a little dig about the rather different approach to law enforcement and lethal weapons in the UK and the US.
