Served as a student senator for two years. Served as a student advisor/mentor for two and a half senate administrations after mine. Worked tirelessly for Aggies—put aside all the hurt and pain a few caused me. Looked past the name calling, the slander, the defamation, the hatred and the backstabbing to serve a campus that did not always love me back. All for a better student body and a better A&T. It wasn’t always easy but it was a job worth fulfilling. Continuing a trend of #AggiesDo since 1891. I’m glad my Aggies are celebrating #GHOE and going home. Whether it rains or it’s hot, we are going to shine regardless. This medal is one of the best memories I have of A&T. I was surprised when I got it, but the gratitude of this, and others, reminds me the work done was not in vain. I will not be at homecoming this year—but to those who are going, be safe. #AggiePride James L. “Jaeyel” Imes AKA The Pen Behind the Cedric Quincy Books https://www.instagram.com/p/B4BIJl7pDt7/?igshid=1vfkyza2vgaoq
