So Sammy and Norman... Who was changed first/turned into a monster first? And how did the other react? (I love angst/ hurt and comfort). Did Joey make the other watch as they changed? Or were they separated? Also love your art style!

I think that Norman would’ve changed first, because Joey would’ve wanted to test his machine on somebody who could easily be replaced (unfortunately for Norman-)

But I don’t think that Joey would make Sammy watch- he wasn’t that cruel, inhumane and evil lol

Joey would probably have wanted it to stay out of public knowledge, only telling Thomas, and sometimes Wally

So unfortunately for Sammy, he had to learn about it this way:

And because of the above, and other reasons like stress, I think that Sammy would’ve been a lot more tolerable to actually become an ink monster himself

Maka is actually my favorite of the girls! She's kind of surprising at times? I mean they all can be, and I LOVE that. Like I love how you'd expect her to be the sensible one, but then she's like "let's do this reckless shit" while Soul is "whoa, just hold up a sec." Because when they're first intro'd that isn't the dynamic you'd expect. And then like Tsubaki and Black Star? Oh lord I cry at how much I love their partnership. They're so good. Such great kids. I could ramble all day about this.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes, Tsubaki, Liz and Patty are all pretty straightforward characters, after all - they’re super great and I adore them with all of my heart, but they’re just like they present themselves in the end (...Patty has her out-of-the-blue sides, but even in her weirdness she’s a simple one haha) Maka on the other hand is super layered, she does feel like the protagonist in that sense, when you consider the average as far as manga girls goes she’s really, really surprising, mostly so because she presents herself like a pretty stereotypical tsundere/violent type at first? Ahhhhhhh she’s such a good girl
