A pale silver and black rosetted molly with deep and unusual cornflower blue eyes. Her pelt is darkest on her back and lightest at her paws on a gradient. Her belly and paws are snowy white. Ahasra has a brick-red nose and a deep gray paw pads. Her fur is long and silke rather than thick like some other cats’ pelts giving her a somewhat wind-swept look when she chooses not to groom more thoroughly.
Ahasra is cheeky, determined and suave. While Soŕi took after their father in appearances, it’s often remarked that Ahasra embodies his attitude and she takes this in stride. She’s known to be somewhat flirty as a default but will back down and apologize if told she’s bothering someone. Much of her cheeky suaveness is a mask that she lets down around the cats she trusts showing herself as playful and kitlike.
Ahasra was born with a genetic condition that gives her the striking cornflower blue eyes she’s known for. This condition gives low-level tingling pain in her lower-half for most of her days and on their worsts, she looses all feeling below her hips. Ahasra is considered exceedingly lucky and a bit of an anomaly being the first cat born with an active version of her condition that didn’t eventually succumb to it.
She’s always been headstrong and mischievous with a penchant for talking her way out of trouble. Her silver-tongue was so well-known throughout the kingdom, the nurses used to jokingly say that she should never be allowed to argue her case because she could convince the most cynical cat that frogs could fly.
Ahasra rambunctious explorative spirit clashed particularly hard with her mother’s smothering protective love for her. She always found it irksome whenever she was scolded for doing the exact same thing as her siblings or when she was stopped from doing something because of her legs. What started out as irritated sighs, pouting and glowering eventually escalated into verbal arguments and occasionally full-blown screaming matches with her mother over her special treatment. Eventually, Ahasra had simply begun to start ignoring her mother - it didn’t matter if the injuries she gained were from tripping while walking or fighting a bear, the reaction would be the same to both, so why try to please her when she knows nothing she does will ever be enough?
This eventually came to a head when Ahasra - filled with righteous bluster and frustration - went out on a seeker’s mission to capture and return a small group of dogs who were convicted of a brutal attack on a farmer despite the tell-tale signs that her legs would give out. Her stubbornness bit her in the ass and the princess was almost returned home in a small bowl. This was a mistake that brought her good fortune however as she finally had a heart-to-heart conversation with her mother about how the smothering was pushing her daughter further and further away.
Once healed from the incident, Ahasra took strides to find the balance between being her own cat who is capable in her own right while accepting the limitations that her disability places on her. She often looks back on her younger self with a pained wince and sympathy for a little molly who felt so unloved through her mother’s misguided actions and feels pride for how much she’s grown and that their relationship is improving.
With the discovery of Mousefever, Ahasra is back to spending time with the sibling she’d been closest to her entire life; her brother Soŕi who now goes by Cardinalfire. She dearly missed him while he focused on his new role and responsibilities within the greenwood prides but she’s also extremely proud of him for pursing the dream that he’d wanted for so long. She finds pride-life to be interesting but isn’t entirely sure it’s what she wants for herself and makes frequent trips to visit her kin and kingdom. During her stay, she helped an apprentice - Wolfpaw - fight off a hawk that went to make off with a young kit and earned the pride name, Kitesong for her efforts.
She was always ride-or-die for her brother and would’ve fought Tigerclaw based on the stories told to her by Ravenwing during his stay but after encountering the tom for herself, she wishes to absolutely destroy him and finds it frustrating that politics are in her way.
Question will there be any lgbt in this series? I really hope so.. you said that redtail was sandpaw’s dad who was his mate?
Indeed- I am incapable of writing a story without lgbt+ characters! Off the top of my head:
Ahasra - Lesbian
Fireheart - Bisexual
Ravenwing - Gay
Graystripe - Bisexual
Redtail - Trans
Spottedleaf - Ace
Okohi/Jake - Bisexual
Tallstar - Bisexual
Adihikko - Gay
As for Sandpaw's mother, that's something I'm still not sure about lmao. The Erins did some weird stuff so I have a lot of untangling and rewriting to do.
For example, Dustpaw and Ravenpaw are apparently Frostfur's younger brothers to Fuzzypelt and Robinwing? So I have to look through their family tree and modify some stuff.
"A countershaded sleek silver charcoal bengal molly. Ahasra is the runt of her litter. Her coat is at its darkest at the top and around her face and on her ears becoming lighter as it goes down. Her underbelly is a soft snowy white, making her stripes stand out as they further encroached on her lighter fur. Ahasra’s eyes are an unusual deep cornflower blue being a genetic mutation- barring the side-effects it has on her legs, she’s perfectly fine. Ahasra is friendly, playful and confident in who she is and is determined to prove her worth."
Name Fact: Ahasra means "ashes" or "burnt." It's a name associated with rebirth and revival- it's a popular name for small, weak and sickly kits in the hopes they become stronger.
Fun Fact: The mutation Ahasra has usually kills the kit
Aruiyur Amalu or Blue Eye Syndrome doesn’t sound too serious on the surface but is incredibly devastating. It’s a usually fatal illness semi-inheritable genetic mutation where the first and most noticeable symptom is deep blue (cornflower) eyes. It typically it begins to show itself when a kit turns four moons old.
The kit begins to start walking weirdly as they periodically loose feeling in their toes and through their legs. Eventually, the paralysis becomes permanent and begins working its way of the kit’s spine.
At eight moons old its crept far enough up their body that the kit’s heart or lungs may stop in their sleep. Sometimes it creeps around and disables their forelegs and then puts them to sleep. Sometimes if a kit is particularly unlikely it starts from the head and creeps down, first blinding the kit, stopping their ability to move their jaws and then stopping their heart or lungs.
Now, the most dangerous aspect of Aruiyur Amalu is that you can have an inactive variant. Sometimes a cat carries the disease and their kits have an increased chance of inheriting it- this was noted by an absolute tragedy where a tom with the inactive variant had a litter of active variants- none of which survived to their eighth moon.
Much to the relief of everyone studying the disease, it’s fairly rare for most kits to have and so long as your parents don’t come from it, once your eyes change color you’re home free. Aruiyur Amalu is mostly contained to a specific group of cats with the Divine Spotted pattern.
Arassi Ahasra is one of 20 individuals known to the Kingdoms that has survived the active variant of the illness and the only one with a silvery coat.

The world of Strelles doesn't have bengals but basically it's mostly a bengal specific illness.
Ahasra is the only cat of her litter with an active variant of the illness. All of her siblings are carriers of it and Isaria is waiting anxiously for her kits' eyes to change and confirm their health.
She was always silver and white but eventually I decided on the bengal design and I'm happy with it. Her eyes have remained the exact same color throughout all of her designs somehow.
Fun fact, before I started drawing her she was ginger like Fireheart. Then I decided I liked gray and white better and it stuck.
