AITA?

I (514M) recently reconnected with my ex (69M) in Dubai when he came to interview my husband (145M) for a book. Because I erased my ex's memories of our relationship together he had no idea of who I was, so I had to pretend to be a member of the staff for a while.

Eventually I had to reveal my true identity and join in with the interview where my mortal ex was able to expose the role I had to play in the murder of my immortal husband's sister/daughter (47F) and her girlfriend (31F). This made him angry at me and resulted in the end of our 77 year long relationship.

My immortal husband and my mortal ex were also able to recover some other memories that I had erased from an incident in 1973. Neither of them were particularly happy about this, especially my mortal ex as I had somewhat tortured him during the aforementioned incident.

Anyway, during a conversation with my husband about interior decorating I suggested putting up the Ai Wei Wei wallpaper with the Hockney's 'Lemons' which he did not appreciate and instead suggested that we should "leave the wall bare until inspiration entered the room."

AITA for taking this personally? I thought that the 'Lemons' piece would pair quite wonderfully with the Ai Wei Wei wallpaper and I can't understand why my husband wouldn't agree with me?

Edit: Comments on the interior decorating only please. Anyone accusing me of being 'manipulative' will be hunted down for sport.

Edit Edit: No, my husband and I are no longer together. He got back with his ex (262M) who also happens to be my ex as well.

Edit Edit Edit: For people asking about my mortal ex - he is now immortal and I would best describe our relationship as 'complicated' at the moment.

AITA for confronting the woman I'm seeing for appearing in a dream?

AITA for confronting the (3059F) woman I'm (22M) seeing on the side (yea ik it's bad, but tbf it was in the dreamworld) for torturing my (21F) girlfriend (also in the dreamworld but still kind of yikes). It was suggested to me by my (72F) sort of mentor/surrogate parent ish who also has a beef (?) with a the woman I'm seeing (yea ik it's a mess) which I feel kinda muddies the waters a bit lol. AITA for confronting her about it?

AITA for not giving my cats any spaghetti?

Hi, I (25f) live with three cats (grown but still babies, m). They're absolutely precious, and I would do anything for them. Today when I got up for work I decided to have a can of spaghetti and meatballs for breakfast, because it's easy and yummy. The issue is that when I popped the lid open, the cats came running thinking it was wet food for them. I felt really bad about this, especially given how they were meowing and clearly excited, even following me around. Now normally, I would give them a tiny taste of the sauce to show them that they didn't actually want what I had, but one of the cats has an extremely sensitive stomach, and is prone to throwing up very easily. I ended up giving them all some of their favorite treats instead, but I still feel like the asshole considering how excited they were when I opened the can. So, AITA?

"...It's very sweet you care about your cats so much. I can promise you, you're not the asshole. I mean, you did give them what I assume are cat-safe treats? So there's that. But sometimes animals will want things they're not allowed to have. It's our job as responsible pet owners to make sure they don't eat food they're not allowed to, even if they want it and we feel terrible not giving it to them. We have to consider their health, and a lot of human food is really harmful for them. The canned spaghetti might have a fair amount of sugars and spices in the sauce which could affect their digestive system. We have to protect them from themselves and the desire they have for the little treats sometimes.

"Also-- it's not a crime to open a can. They might assume it's food for them, but they are just associating the sound and investigating. I'm sure they've forgotten about the can already. Cats can be really smart, smart enough to recognize the sound, but they just wanted a treat and they got one, you know? They also don't really have the bandwidth to recognize it as you withholding food from them or something."

Am I the hole of the ass? A man insulted my wardrobe and so I ripped out his throat with my teeth. It is not nice to call someone a grandmother when they’re not a grandmother. This was a new outfit I have just bought by the way and thanks to him, it is now covered in blood. Surely you understand.

Am I the asshole for taking advantage of an old friend for my own gain? To explain a little bit, we had been close for years but I was put in a tough situation where the only way out was cutting this person out of my life. It was a really toxic situation. Am I the asshole?

"Without context it's hard to say...... I think the fact that you say it's taking advantage for your own gain says how you feel about what you did. I definitely feel like I'd need more info to really say if this was an asshole moment though. Like....what you did to get ahead. Or what kind of relationship it was in better detail. It's so easy with these to only see one side, and I'd hate to jump to any conclusions."
