(A poem written for my OC, Aitherios)

I opened myself up but nothing is painless

Too late to turn back, I shut it all out regardless

I’m already a coward, don’t see why I care

But telling you these things would only be fair

I can’t stay,

Don’t want to go

If I leave then I’ll never know

Heart of glass,

Cold heart of stone

We’d be better off if I was alone

“…Her magic-inhibiting collars had runes carved into them so that she could hurt or disable us from a distance. She talked of branding the runes directly on my neck, so she wouldn’t need the collar anymore. Said that last time—that she ‘did love’ the sound of my screams.”

(Aria can’t/wouldn’t actually do this, considering she’d have to get the collar off first (meaning Aitherios can use magic / she doesn’t have power over him), the neck is a very delicate part of the body and she doesn’t want Aitherios dead, it’d be kind of a pain and the collar works just fine anyway, and tbh I have no idea if this would even work ghvhfjghvjfhgk

(It’s a fun hypothetical scenario though! :))

Came with a whole mini-comic, under the cut for eye contact with the viewer, possible eye strain on one of the panels, the branding, and Aitherios begging Aria to stop
