aiyu is so so near and dear to me as a ship, doubly so for the fact i hc yu as transfem/genderfluid somewhere in there, so i like to think that ai helps her boygirlfriend with her makeup and painting her nails and other feminine things yu wouldn’t otherwise have a basis for before

I know Hiro mentions them at one point in thh, and I think they showed up/are mentioned in one of the endings of the visual novel Kirigiri Sou but that ending in non canon iirc

Meet my OC versions of Evan and Venti--Evan and Aiyu. Evan is half-alien and Venti is a full blown alien. Also these aliens are actually Skyrian (Aiyu)/Skyman(Evan), something I talked about more here.

I'm still torn on the design for Skyrians because my GOD am I attached to the more rodent looking body type. They're just cuter to me that way.

I imagine that if Evan was born in the DR world his parents probably try to hide his alien heritage by reshaping his ears to look more human because other than being long lived (pretty much eternal) and magic, he's pretty human passing. He can't shape shift, so his ears would be changed surgically.

Aiyu can just shapeshift so they'll choose a normal looking human form to pass

Evan is Very Welsh and Aiyu's human form is Very Chinese, fun fact.

Advice to Yu: You've been dating this man with the ability to see the future in his dreams for years according to this special. Why try to surprise propose to him? Why not just... propose? You know how he gets into his own head and trapped by anxiety. Just... stop working so hard to surprise him! If anything, it seems to make him more anxious.

Yes, it's cute.

Stop surprising the anxious seer. It does not help him or you. He spiraled so hard about this when none of it was needed.

(Wasn't the whole start of the show about how Yu said he'd stop teasing Ai because Ai didn't like it? It's still cute but annoying.)

Oh no he looks so tiny. And in the sweater! And he just looks so sad and so little and I just want to hug him so much. And then Yu gets into bed hugging a pillow instead? The baby of it all. Ai is the tiniest saddest boy. The nervous little reach out to touch and the way he pulled back instead? My entire heart.

And then directly into a wedding dream. This show is wild.
