BACKSTORY
Akano was orphaned when she was 4, after both her parents had an accident and passed.
The orphanage she was put in was average, and the usual expectation on the outside, children, caring adults, older children helping younger children, and ect ect..
However, it wasn't long before Akano found out what it was truly like.
She hadn't gotten over her parents, she was still young and even then she knew nothing about them faces, memories, hell even their names. This led to her acting out quite frequently, leading to harsher and harsher scolding, which ended in verbal abuse, hell even starving her for a few days if she broke something of value.
It didn't take long for her to start hearing the younger children crying about ghosts and seeing things under their beds, past family members visiting them in their dream or nightmares.
That had caught her attention
Now, she tried dabbling in the paranormal, and any book talking about it, she had swiped from the orphanage library. Eventually, homemade tools, Ouija board pieces, candles, scrying mirrors, bells, and more she would create to attract ghosts.
If she could possibly see these ghosts the younger children were talking about, maybe she could too, and maybe, just maybe her parents would appear also.
It wasn't a very well hidden rumor, people around the town saying they'd seen urban legend creatures and critters heading toward one direction, that had pushed her off the ledge.
If there was a place they were heading to, just one place, then that place could have ghosts heading there too, and those ghosts could include her parents.
She ran away from the building she was told to call home. Honestly, it was just a prison at that point. She highly doubted they'd even search for her with how much trouble she gave them.
It took a while using the tools she had stolen and made, with little to almost no success, she had found the place she was looking for.
A school.
She thought about all she had done, honestly all that walking, getting lost, eavesdropping, and following rumors with no real proven fact, and this was what all that led to?
Screaming, stomping on the ground, ripping out plants, and flailing her small arms, having the bells on her wrists jingle.
SNAP!
It was faint but not to the point where her rage would've overwhelmed her desperation enough to not have heard it.
She hid almost instantly. What if somebody had run to check? What if somebody was out here camping? What if the orphanage had sent out people to look for her?
But that wasn't it at all.
A mystical creature, who turned human before entering the school and then another, another, another, another, another.
They swarmed into the school, a few arriving a bit later than the others.
Maybe those rumors were true, but as she looked behind her, a familiar face she had seen at the orphanage.

-Akano is almost always hiding away from the students of the school, not by choice but because of her unexpected traveling buddy. However, she is ecstatic about knowing such people exist!
-I haven't made her in gacha because well. Her design is kinda hard to do, in my opinion, especially her hair, so I'll respond with art. But rarely.
-Akanos mood is unpredictable, so even if the oc you're using is the nicest person in the universe, expect her to snap at them if something she's doing at the time doesn't go her way, even if it doesn't involve them.
-She has many trinkets to attract spirits, which is her regular hobby you'll find her doing. It's even on her character design.
-also no, she isn't really pale white, I just draw her like that cause it fit the style I wanted to draw her in.
