I’m headed to @akon_con in Dallas, TX, Thu - Sun! You can find me in the dealer hall at booth 1200A, near Bandai and the A-Kon Merch table. Come shop for cosplay accessories and new prints, and I’m of course available for signatures, selfies and chats. Expect me at the booth at 11am each day, until the late afternoon or evening. I will do my best to stay as long as possible. Aside from the booth, on Friday at 1:30pm in Panel room 9, I’m holding a brand new panel called “20 Years in Cosplay - Yaya Han Retrospective”! Join me as we dive into the history of modern cosplay and my journey through it in the past two decades. (Spoiler alert: I was a volunteer staff at A-Kon in the year 2000!) The other big event I’m excited about is the costume contest on Saturday night! I’m honored to be the MC and hope you’ll join me in cheering on the contestants! 7pm Sat in Embarcado MAIN EVENTS! Costume wise, I’m bringing Midnight (Friday) and Geisha Sheryl Nome (Saturday). I’m feeling a bit under the weather and plan to take it easy with cosplaying this weekend.
