Just a quick question. Did Vincent and Rachel’s souls get collected and the only reason why they can’t become bizzarre dolls is because they have no body to the host new cinematic records?

Why Vincent and Rachel can't become bizarre dolls

Their souls should have already been collected by active reapers, and that's what technically makes them dead, right?

They can't become bizarre dolls because:

1. Their bodies have been destroyed. Well, we know that's the case with Vincent. We are only assuming the same fate befell Rachel's body, since her body was right next to his when our earl found them.

2. If their bodies were destroyed, so were their cinematic records, which are stored in the brain.

No bodies. No cinematic records. No bizarre dolls.

That's why I theorize that whoever set the fire either knew Undertaker was a reaper or was acting on the instructions of someone who knew. And probably not just that he's a reaper (who can glean information from viewing cinematic records) but a reaper who has been messing around with corpses and cinematic records....

Correct me if I’m wrong, but does this mean we’ll get to see the short flashback of Dietrich and Vincent at Weston? I’m pretty sure it’s when Alexis is talking at the party before the cricket tournament.

Alexis' flashback

The Weston arc does include Alexis' flashback about how Diedrich became Vincent's fag at school. And a quick flashback about the Miracle of the Sapphires or Blue Miracle.

Though the Blue Miracle isn't central to the story, it suggests that Vincent did something underhanded for that win, just like his son.

And the part about Vincent and Diedrich helps explain why Diedrich is so loyal, even after Vincent's death.

I'd be appalled if either of those gets left out.

I have theory that perhaps it is Snake’s snakes that tell him about Finny leaving at night. Isn’t there the saying ‘never trust a sleeping snake’ because they can see through their eyelids or something? So maybe they’re the ones keeping watch instead.

Snakes watching

Whether they are telling Snake what's going on or not, I'm sure the snakes know Finny is sneaking around at night.

Like I've said before, his snakes don't always tell him everything they know -- did they tell him that Sebastian once tied them all into knots so our earl could sneak around the tents? -- and they might not want him to know that Doll isn't human anymore... or that she's now the enemy.

Of course, it is possible that Snake has been told something by his snakes, and he's just trying to trust whatever Finny is doing. Perhaps he even knows Doll isn't human anymore, but he can't bring himself to deal with her directly, so he might think it's good to let Finny do most of their real task here.

Personally, I think Snake is still somewhat oblivious to what's going on with Doll, and all he might know for sure is that Finny is acting weird and nervous. Maybe he's finally concerned enough to put his snakes on Finny-watching detail. I would definitely say that's the case, if Snake turns out to be the one with the bright light at the end of ch201. Guess we will find out next month.

All this Undertaker and Claudia drama has me hooked, it’s like Keeping Up with the Kardashians but instead it’s Keeping Up with the Phantomhives. Another thing that intrigues me is what exactly Vincent’s relationship is with Undertaker. In panels of when the twins where younger Undertaker seemed to frequent the manner a lot, Vincent must trust him enough to let the twins around him, also. I can’t help but question how their relationship came to be.

Idk how Undertaker came back into Vincent's life, but I suspect that Vincent was well aware that Undertaker was his father. Perhaps Undertaker told him right after Claudia/Cloudia died and Vincent had become watchdog?

Do you think it should be a concern that Finny somewhat blew his cover? I bet Sebastian would be reeling if he ever found out.

Considering these four top students, no I'm not particularly concerned he "blew his cover". This was actually a big break for him. The hard part will be getting Snake on board with whatever he and the others intend to do.

Snake's snakes would be of particular use here, I'm sure, as they could cause distractions for the staff. A bit like how they got onto the carriage that was taking our earl, Sebastian, and Blavat to jail.

I should think that Sebastian would be okay with Finny doing this, if it meant gaining knowledge about the place. Even more so for gaining people who already want to dismantle the whole operation.
